I opened the car door, breathing out heavily to the sound of the wind blowing against my hair, my agent stuck closely beside me as we stood before the marvel studios nervously trembling at just the sight of it
I had been like this since the day I found out I was going to be playing a role in the upcoming Spider-Man movie, it had been a dream of mine to take part in something so huge since the start of my acting career 3 years ago, but now, standing before the key to my dreams, nothing felt like a reality
R:I can't believe we're here My agent Rose excitedly jumped in her position, she had supported and stuck beside me since the beginning of my career, and she wasn't just my agent, she had become my closest friend R:I'm so proud of you Kay I smiled warmly hugging her tightly before we walked towards the building
There were guards withholding the entrance, whispering to each other as they gave us an emotion less stare Rose held up her card, they looked at it closely, nodding immediately and letting us pass their presence
We entered the building taking in our surroundings as a man almost immediately approached us T/D:Hey you must be Rose R:Oh yes She shook his hand quickly T/D:and this must be Kayla, sorry I'm Tony the director of the movie K:Oh, its lovely to meet you I held out my hand awkwardly shaking his as he smiled warmly
T/D:Right we are just about to start our first meeting, so you'll be able to meet the rest of the cast and we can discuss what we want from the final cut of the movie! K:Sounds good I smiled widely as he called over a man holding sheets of paperwork in his hands T/D:Daniel could you please show these ladies to room 7?
He nodded greeting us before we trailed behind him, walking up the long flight of stairs catching our breaths as we reached the top of them D:Ok so turn to your right and it's the first room you see R:Thank you
We rushed towards the room, I stood before it, biting my nails nervously as I could hear the quiet sounds of conversation from inside the office
As we entered the room, my mind went blank as the table was full with people all staring straight at me, my head was spinning in circles as I swallowed hardly, smiling as one of the men standing pulled out my seat for me
K:Tha... thank you I coughed on my words sitting down and pulling my chair under the table, Rose standing closely behind me
T/D:So since everyone's arrived, let's get started Tony spoke in his light American accent, sitting at the edge of the large rounded table, holding multiple sheets in front of him
T/D:Lets just briefly go over your characters, Tom your obviously Peter aka Spider-Man I flicked my eyes up to notice the small chuckle coming from the guy in front of me, he had dark brown eyes that were lightly covered by the curls that sat over his forehead, he was slumped confidently in the chair, though i could tell he was secretly nervous as he smoothed down his hair with his hands

T/D:Jacob your parkers best friend Ned They bumped firsts cheering as the people around them laughed at their actions T/D:Zendaya your taking the role of Michelle and Clara your playing Ellie, which I'm sure you both know a lot about Zendaya clicked her fingers quietly talking to the team she had surrounding her
T/D:And Kayla you'll be playing peters girlfriend Liz
I swallowed hardly widening my eyes, Girlfriend? No one said anything about a girlfriend? I panicked lightly as I felt a close presence, rose stood closely beside me K:Girlfriend? She smiled sympathetically R:If I told you you wouldn't have came, this is so good for you career Kay!
I shook my head lightly licking my bottom lip, it was still early days when it came to me and the acting world, I was up for pretty much any role except one that put pressure on my reality, and I had always been paranoid when it came to acting in a relationship with someone I hardly knew
I replayed these thoughts in my mind before Tony interrupted all of us with his heavy cough for attention He continued to speak about scenes, stunt people, and the sketches he had in front of him of what he wished the final piece would look like
T/D:Right that's all for today we will contact all of you about further meetings and shooting days, like all my featured actors, I advise that between now and then you guys try and hang out with each other, so you will be more comfortable when it comes to certain scenes in the movie
We all agreed standing from our positions, thanking tony one by one before disappearing through the doors of the office
I breathed out heavily, Rose struggling to catch up with me as she rested her palm on my shoulder, steadily trying to keep up with my fast pace R:Try not to overreact about this K:Overreact? Rose you lied to me and I don't know if I'm comfortable with...
I paused on my words suddenly being interrupted by Tom as he stood beside us with a light smile, Rose trying to continue our conversation as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders in a friendly manner
T:I thought I should probably introduce myself, since we are definitely going to be spending a lot of time together during this movie
I gave him no reaction as he licked his bottom lip T:I'm Tom He held out his hand for me to shake as I tiptoed on my steps trying to escape from the situation K:Kayla He nodded quickly as there was a moment of awkward silence K:Sorry I'm really bad with meeting new people, and these sort of situations
He chuckled lightly brushing my words off his shoulders T:Ah its fine don't worry! Hey come here I'll introduce you to the others
I hesitated looking at Rose as she gestured me to go, I smiled lightly as he guided me towards the group of actors I was working with
T:Jacob, Zendaya, Clara... this is Kayla
He pushed me lightly towards them, I waved blushing slightly as they all smiled in my direction Z:We do know that tom the director said who she was like 2 minutes ago I laughed as he playfully hit zendaya'a arm J:It's nice to meet you Kayla K:You too
I hugged them all lightly before joining in with their random conversations, they all seemed really nice and it was clear that they had known each other for a while which made this a whole lot harder knowing that they probably are okay just as they are
J:Anyways we probably should go before Tony kicks us out We all chuckled lightly T:Yeah, uh Kayla we're going back to my house just to chill and stuff, do you wanna come? K:Oh, i... I don't know I hesitated looking behind me noticing that Rose has disappeared, there was no way of getting out of this C:Ah, come on! I shrugged lightly looking up at toms small smirk K:Alright Z:Cool should I get my car? She rummaged through her bag flinging out her keys T:Yeah you guys head down I'm gonna have a quick word with Tony C:Ill wait with you He nodded as they trailed off towards Tony's office
T:Z do you even know where you parked this car? I laughed as we followed her, her eyes flickering around the massive car park Z:Um...
I smiled rushing around behind them, maybe this wouldn't be so awkward after all!?
