The director called for our names as we drifted off into our separate conversations, the make up artists perfecting our faces as tom mumbled multiple words to the producer
T/D:Right, everyone lets start filming the next scene, Tom try to loosen up a little you seem so tense
I chuckled under my breath as he frowned a little moving his shoulders in circular motions
T/D:And Kayla... just remember the lines
He winked lightly looking at tom, I shook my head continuously as we were put back into our positions, I adjusted the strap on my backpack, looking up nervously towards him
T/D:Places everyone
I flickered my eyes up at the groups of people slowly walking towards us, acting like they were occupied in a normal school hour
T/D: 3,2,1 action!
He pointed to the cameras as I immediately got into character
L:What is up with you lately?
Peter tucked his head down to the floor, his knees trembling as Liz guarded him in her conversation, this time, he couldn't escape
P:Wha... what do you mean?
She scoffed under her breath, the cross of her arms as she angered her emotion
L:What do I mean? Peter you've been ignoring me the whole day are you not interested in me anyone?
P:Yes! Yes of course I'm interested it's just...
He stopped on his words, swallowing hardly
L:It's just what?
He paused his movement, hesitating before shaking his head stepping backwards from her slowly
P:I wish I could tell you, but I can't...
She nodded sarcastically laughing at his words
L:I'm sorry but I can't wait around for the time when your "ready" to tell me, you can't keep secrets from me Peter that's not what relationships are about
He sighed agreeing as her eyes filled up with sudden tears, she stopped, before turning around and walking down the halls of the school
T:D:And... Cut!
I breathed out heavily sighing with relief as I walked back towards the middle where everyone was surrounded
T/D:Great job you lot take 5!
He held his hand up to all the extras and co-stars, my fingers trembling a little as the nerves kicked in still thinking about everything that happened yesterday
T/D:That was perfect! Exactly what I wanted, great job
He pushed me and tom together patting our shoulders as we shyly smiled
T/D:I'll leave you guys to it, Kay make sure your at the next set in a few hours time, tom we need you back here in an hour!
We both nodded quickly as he rushed off into the distance
The atmosphere grew immediately quiet as I smiled awkwardly, Tom holding his palms in the pockets of his jacket
T:So...
he giggled laughing suddenly
K:So?
T:About yesterday, I don't want things to be awkward after...
K:Oh no don't worry, I've practically forgotten about it anyways
I shrugged my shoulders clearly lying and I cut off the tension laughing slowly
T:Right, yeah
He nodded quickly as Harrison and Carla approached us fastening their pace
C:You ready to go?
K:Uh, yeah
The four of us were going to get a quick bite to eat before we started shooting again, Harrison was toms best friend who I had met a few times but we had never really had a chance to get out a proper conversation with tom around as he strangely always seemed to shut us off whenever we tried to talk
I bent under his car door frame, Carla sitting beside me in the back with tom driving and Harrison in the seat beside him
K:Are you sure we're safe?
T:What you on about?
He shook his head his eyes widening suddenly
K:I've never been in your car before I don't know if your a crap driver
T:Hey
C:Oh he is
I giggled with Carla in the back as he fiddled with the ignition
H:What are you doing?
Harrison rose his voice as tom pulled down the hand break
T:You guys are the dangerous ones we're doing to end up having a crash
H:Why don't I drive
T:Uh no
We laughed at their petty arguments as the vehicle started, the music automaticity blasted through the speakers causing us all to cover our ears
K:Tom!
T:What?
H:Turn it down!
Harrison laughed reaching over his body as his phone was beside him, trying to reach for the pause button
T:Look I need it loud so I can't get distracted by your moaning
C:This is what you'll be distracted at
He shook his head laughing as he turned down the volume, drake lyrics pounding through the speakers as he mouthed the words driving along the motorway
We reached the restaurant, hearing the light sound of the break of the car as Harrison opened my car door
K:Oh, thank you
I smiled feeling my cheeks heat up as my skin was exposed to the cold air
T:Argh right
He paused on his steps as he held the ringing phone in his palm
T:I've just gotta take this call really quickly you guys go ahead I'll meet you in there
We nodded as he drifted off back towards his car, Harrison opened the door widely as me and Carla walked through it, his footsteps trailing in behind us
W:Welcome!
The waitress spoke immediately holding menus in her hand as I held my sunglasses above my head
W:A table for the three of you?
Carla shook her head lightly smiling
C:Uh no there's one more but he's just outside he'll be here in a sec
W:Oh right okay well if you don't mind taking this table, and we'll let him know when he arrives
H:Thank you
We smiled sitting down in the booth, I sat beside Carla, Harrison sitting opposite
H:Right what to have
He opened the menu as we locked eyes with an out of breath tom
H:What you running here for?
He shouted causing a light laugh to leave toms mouth, he smiled as waitress nodded in his direction
T:Change of plan I've got to be back in half an hour so I thought if I walked I would just be wasting more time
I rolled my eyes laughing as he sat down in the booth, my eyes trailing over his arms as he rested them on the table, I think Carla must of noticed as she coughed for my attention, knocking my arm lightly
K:Hm
I looked up at her oblivious to what was going on and she let out a small laugh
C:Is it alright if we have a quick chat?
She tilted her head towards the toilets, I smiled nodding quickly as I slid across the seats following her to the doors
I don't know why but I had a strong feeling this conversation was going to be about tom...
