Jayceon

I looked around at the room I was sitting in. I didn't recognize it but there was a scent that was familiar. The door in front of me opened and my mother and father walked in.

My face lit up and went to hug them. My mother held her hand up, stopping me before I got too close.

"Sit." She spoke

Confused and trying to figure out what was wrong, I stepped back and sat down. I watched as my father pulled out the chair for my mom and she sat down, followed by him right beside her.

"I raised you better than this son." My dad shook his head

"You promised me JJ." My mother wiped her eyes. "And you broke both of those promises. I told you not to hurt that girl. I told you. I sat there and said to go to her, express your feelings to her! But no, you broke that promise and went back to drugs! Something you said you wouldn't do again!" At this point my mother had tears streaming down her face.

"I'm sorry ma. I really am. Where am I?"

"Don't worry about that son." My dad spoke. "Just know that we've been watching over you and you've let us down."

"She's you're wife Jayceon. I specifically told you to express your hurt and feelings to her before you do something stupid. Do not shut her out. You've been so selfish. You don't think our death affected her?" My mother spoke

Now listen to me when I say this," my dad pointed. "If you are going to continue this drug abuse, do it alone. Don't drag your wife and kids down that path. And I mean it. If you want to ruin your life, fine, but don't ruin theirs in the process. If you can't clean yourself up, let that woman go."

I've been home from the hospital for three days now and I have yet to hear anything from Jay. Thankfully, Chris has never left my side and he's been a big help with Aiyana.

"Can you watch the kids for me?" I sat beside Chris. He was currently helping Kody hold Aiyana.

"Thanks." I left out of the house

I got into my car and drove to Jay's office. His car was the only one parked outside. I parked and went in.

All of the lights were on but everything else looked untouched, like no one had been here in days.

I turned down the hall and walked to his office door. I stood there for a moment before turning the knob and going in.

There were papers scattered across the floor and McDonald's bags everywhere. I could see his foot sticking out from behind his desk. I slowly walked over and he was just laying there.

"Jay." I tapped his foot

No response

"Jayceon." I shook him a little

Nothing

I reached up and felt his neck. He had a pulse but it was barely there. I sighed and sat back against the desk. I pulled my phone out and dialed 911.

"Mrs. Taylor?" A doctor walked over to me

"Yes? Is my husband ok?"

He nodded then looked around at the full waiting room. "Follow me."

I walked behind the doctor and we went into a private waiting area. He closed the door and sat his folder on the table.

"As you may have figured, your husband overdosed. He's in stable condition now but if he hadn't got here when he did, he would've died."

I shook my head

"We had to pump his stomach and right now he's on medication to flush the rest of the drugs from his body."

"Can I see him?"

"You may." He nodded. "Room 211." He opened the door for me

"Thank you." I smiled

Walking into the room. Jay was looking at the TV. He looked over at me and then back to the TV.

"How you feeling?"

He remained focused on the TV

"So you can't talk now?" I eyed him

He sighed and reclined his bed

"What is your problem? I haven't done anything to you but yet you treat me like this. I don't understand. If you don't want this anymore just let me know."

He still remained silent then clicked a button on the remote to turn the lights off.

I nodded. "If this is what you want, I won't fight with you about it. Just take care of yourself. I still love you." I placed a kiss on his cheek before leaving.

3:45AM

That day at the hospital was the last time I saw Jay. He hasn't called or anything. It's been so stressful trying to be strong. It hurts.

"What's wrong? Why you crying?" Chris sat on the bed beside me

He was putting Aiyana back in bed and he walked past my bedroom door.

"I'm just tired. I've had to be the strong one for so long." I cried

Chris pulled me into him and rubbed my back. "It's ok. The strongest people cry sometimes."

He turned to me and wiped my eyes. "Stop crying. Everything will be ok."

"But it's not! It won't be ok! He's on drugs Chris. This shit is stressful."

Chris kissed me to shut me up. That heated kiss lead to us stripping each other out of our clothes. Chris was between my legs eating me like his last meal. He trailed kisses up my body until he reach my lips. I could feel him poking at my entrance before he slowly slide inside.
