We pulled into my hometown just after four o'clock. It was nice to be home. As soon as Bentley pulled into the city limits I rolled down my window and breathed in the smell of the small local diner. If you were trying real hard you could almost smell it across town.
I directed Bentley to my home just on the outskirts of town. It was close enough to still get that town feel to it but far enough away from all the lights so you could see all the stars at night.
Bentley drove down the long driveway, and as soon as he parked the truck I was out of the cab, flying towards my sister who was standing on the front porch of our childhood home.
"Emmy!"
"Jenny!"
I threw my arms around her and then gasped remembering.
"The baby. Do you what you're gunna have yet?" I asked excitedly.
"We'll find out at the next ultrasound in a couple of weeks." She explained with a grin, which got even wider when she noticed Bentley who was getting my bags out of the back, "Now you need to tell me who this handsome man is you've brought home with you."
"That's Bentley. I'm his mate." I said as I watched him, knowing he could hear every word my sister and I said.
"So he's a--"
"Werewolf, yeah."
"But he's not a--"
"Lost one. No. He's an Alpha."
"So that means he has a--"
"Pack, yeah."
"And he's not like--"
"No. He's the complete opposite. He's good to me, Jenny. I really like him."
"I'm glad, you deserve some happiness, Emmy. You're always so worried about everyone else and their happiness that you never stop to think about your own."
"I always worry about that, too." Bentley cut in, "Hi, I'm Bentley Holloway."
My sister smiled when he stuck out his hand for her to shake, she surprised him by giving him a hug. She whispered something in his ear because he replied, "Of course."
"What'd you say to him?" I asked my sister who just shook her head and went inside.
"What'd she say to you?" I asked Bentley as he grabbed our bags (I tried to reach for mine but he wouldn't hand it over. He said that he wouldn't be a gentleman if he didn't carry my bag), then headed inside.
"Nothing much, she just asked if I wanted to see your baby pictures."
"She did not." My eyes wide, I was terrified of him seeing my baby pictures.
"You're right, she didn't. So, I guess you'll never know." He sent me a smirk as I led him to my room so he could set our bags down.
"Bentley!" I stood there gaping in the hall as he sat our bags down.
"Emersyn, come down here. Will and I have something to tell you." My sister hollered from where she was standing in the living room with Will.
"I think you should sit down for this, Em." Will said from his spot next to my sister.
"Okay?" I was confused as to why they wanted me to sit down.
Jenny looked really excited and she just couldn't contain it any longer be because she blurted out her surprise.
"We're getting married tomorrow!"
Will was right when he told me sit down.
"Wait. What?" I stood up suddenly very angry. "But it's m--" I stop what I was going to say because I was already going to ruin this with arguing with her, "What happened to doing it over Fall break?"
