Chapter 16

I woke up the next morning screaming like I had done for the past six months.
Dimitri shot up and grabbed me
"Shhh calm down, your safe"
Then there was a knock on the door I quickly pulled on dimitris t-shirt, and a pair of shorts from the table.

I opened the door and Adrian was stood there
"You ok" I asked
"I'm fine I just need to speak to you" he said
But before I could say anything dimitri came up behind me and said
"Thank you for taking care of my family, and thank you for going with her while she was pregnant"
I kissed him and walked out and shut the door behind me 
"So you told him"
"Yeah why wouldn't I the baby was his"
"Did you tell him the truth about how you lost the baby"
I pulled him outside so dimitri would hear what I was saying
"He can never know what really happened. If he does it will break him and I'm not doing that to somebody I love"
"Rose you've been broken for months. Everyday you wake up screaming because you keep reliving those days and you can't hide it from him forever you still have the scars and bruises he going to see them"
"I can deal with being broken I have for months but he can't he'll blame himself and I can hide the bruises I put make up on them so he won't see them and your not going to tell him"
"Rose i won't tell him but you have to if you love him" he said waking off

I walked back inside and got changed then I went to lesson, I knew I had to tell dimitri but I couldn't and I couldn't be with him anymore it was too hard not for me but for him he deserved someone who could give him what he wanted and that wasn't me.

2 weeks later
I was staying with lissa because if I stayed with dimitri i wouldn't just ruin us I'd destroy us.

I knew she always did things to help me but what she did today was just wrong.

I had just finished training with Alberta when I walked into the apartment and everybody was there
Lissa, Christian, Eddie, Mason, Adrian and Dimitri.

"We need to know what happened in Russia because adrian said you've been lying" lissa said
I looked to Adrian and then I walked over to them and punched him and I broke his nose
"Rose" lissa shouted as dimitri grabbed me to stop me from hitting him again
"You promised me you wouldn't day anything"
"No I didn't and their deserve to know what happen in Russia" he said
"I can't you know I can't, if I do its not only going to hurt them but it will hurt me just as much I'll say things that I've wanted to say for a long time and probably ruin things"
"Rose please you have to tell us" dimitri said
"Fine but first when I left this place is was pregnant with dimitris baby"
Eddie, Mason and Christian were shocked I was surprised that lissa hadn't told Christina
"Rose" adrian said
I lifted my shirt slightly so they could all see the bruises and scars on my stomach. Everybody gasped but adrian.
"I didn't loose the baby to stress" I said  turning around
"Rose please tell them" adrian said
"Adrian" I said looking at him with tears rolling down my face
"Before I do I need to know what you were doing for those six months what you were doing while I was in the hospital fighting for my life"
"I was with my father trying to keep you safe by giving him what he wanted me, now what why you in the hospital" dimitri said
"Protecting me and how much did your father tell you while you were with him"
"Mostly everything he did"
"Really then did he tell you how he came to Russia to kill me to kill his grandchild"
He looked at me with horror in his eyes
"Did he tell you how he kicked me and punched me until I passed out in pain, did he tell how he stabbed me in the stomach and told me that it was my fault that this was happening. Did he tell you how I spent two months in a coma fighting for my life"
I had tears rolling down my face
"Rose I'm sorry" he said with tears down his face
"Is that supposed to change anything. Is that supposed to make up for the days that I woke up screaming your name, is it supposed to change what I tried to do"
Even adrian looked shocked at the last bit
"Rose what did you try to do" adrian asked
"While in Russia I drank a lot after my birthday i took the car and was going to drive it into the river but dimitris mother stopped me"
"Roza I'm so sorry I should have been there for you I should have been there to protect you"
I looked to adrian who seemed guilty

Everybody sat down and I stayed stood up because I knew I was about to break.
"Roza I love you and I'm so sorry for leaving"
That's when I broke I began to cry and dimitri grabbed me by the arm and sat me on his knee as I cried. I fell asleep on his knee and because it was Friday we were all staying at lissas for a tonight and tomorrow and we were going to do stuff but in a few days it was my guardian test where I'd find out if I was going to be lissas guardian next year at court.
