Chapter 19

Everybody just stared at Jackson and then they looked at me.

I looked to Jackson "why now"
"Because it's been ten years and I missed my little sister and mom told me that you had a boyfriend and I had to make sure he was fit for my little sister"
I smiled and looked to his hand and saw a wedding ring
"Are you married"
"Yeah"
"To who"
"Do you remember Arizona"
"Really congratulations Jackson, tell her I said hi and I'm glad we got to see each other again"
"Me too Rosie, I'll send you another letter soon and i hope I can be apart of your life again"
"Me too" I said smiling and he Walked out
"So you have a brother" lissa asked
"Yeah but i don't wanna talk about it"
"OK so what's the surprise" dimitris asked
"Oh yeah" I said opening the door to the kitchen and his mother walked out
"Mama" he said as she walked out he looked shocked for a moment then he hugged her.
"What are you doing here" he asked
"Rose flew me out so I could see you and tell you that you are an idiot for leaving this girl" she said and I couldn't help but smile.
He looked to me and then came up and kissed me
"Thank you" he said

Everybody left dimitri alone to talk to his mother.
So I went and unpacked our bags and then I went onto the porch outside and sat down on one of the chairs that overlooked the whole place.
I sat there for moments until dimitri came out with a glass of wine and a bottle of beer he then pulled me up and then sat me down again.
"How are you my love"
"I'm ok how's your mother"
"She's fine, just a little tired she's getting some rest"
"That's good"
" I love you Rose"
"I love you too comrade" i said taking a sip of my wine
"Why did you bring her here"
"Cause I know how much you missed her and she's your family"
"Yes she is and thank you again"
I smiled and kissed him and then we sat there looking at our surroundings until Mason came running out.
"What's wrong" I asked
"Nothing, but his mother's cooking and said you have to come and help"
"I can't cook" I said
"Go tell her that" he said walking back in

I quickly downed the rest of my drink and then we walked back inside, I hadn't realised how cold it was until we went back inside.
Dimitri followed me into the kitchen
"Are you alright" dimitri asked
"I'm fine but I need roses help cooking"
"I'll help you " dimitri said
"Alright but we need a little chat" I nodded and called lissa and the others.

"Why don't we all go skiing"
We all went and changed. Before we left i kissed dimitri and then we left.

Two hours later we arrived back at the lodge but we didn't go skiing we went shopping and lissa made me but a pretty dress and Wear it home.
As we walked up the stairs i turned to her
"Are you gonna tell me why I'm the only one wearing a dress because it's freezing"
"No now shut up" she said putting her hands over my eyes and opening the door.

When she removed her hands I looked around and the floor was covered in rose petals and the table was set for two places and there were candles everywhere.
I looked to dimitri and he was wearing a suit
"What's going on"
"We're having dinner because we haven't had time to ourselves since I got back" I walked over to the table as everybody left. They were having dinner at the restaurant 10 minutes away.

Dimitri pulled my chair out and I sat down. We ate the food he had prepared and then he passed me two letters and I opened the first one.
"To the woman my grandson loves"
Before I read the rest I looked to dimitri and he smiled as he walked into the kitchen with the plates.
"My grandson wouldn't have given you this if he doesn't truly love you, he wants to spend the rest of his life with and even if he doesn't know that yet he will in time or he wouldn't be with you, keep him safe and love him as much as he loves you"

A tear rolled down my face but then i looked at the other letter it was from the academy and it was already open
It said
"Congratulations Rose Hathaway you are now a Guardian"
I squealed and turned around to go and tell dimitri but I saw him on the floor on one knee
"What are you doing"
"For once just let me speak" he said

I smiled and that's when he said
"Rose you are my life,my love and my world. I will do everything to protect no matter what the cost. Over the last few months you are all over thought about and coming home to you was all I wanted and with us being guardians I can't say that it won't be difficult but we can get through it if we're together"
Tears where streaming down my face as he pulled a little red box from his pocket he opened it to show me a rose gold engagement ring with a beautiful small diamond on, it was small so I could still punch people.
"Rose Hathaway will you do me the honor of becoming the person i will spend the rest of my life with"

I smiled and kissed him and he kissed me back
"Wait is that as yes" he asked pulling away
"Yes dimitri, yes" I said he picked me up and spun me around and put the ring on my finger.

After this we hugged for awhile and I looked at my ring. Then dimitri cleared up as I went to get changed.

An hour after this everybody walked through the door, I hand my hands overed in the blanket that was wrapped around me so when lissa walked in and saw I had been crying she imidiately hugged me
"Lissa"
"Rose are you alright"
I smiled and showed her my hand and said
"I'm getting married"
She squealed and tackled me to the floor.

I was really happy and nothing was going to change that.
