Here comes the trigger warning: possible physical and sexual violence indicated to and described.
Shit. Amanda thought. The four men had spread out and were covering her escape from virtually all angles, all except the door to the stairs on her left. She left her keys in the door of the car and dropped her bag on the floor, the letter from John sliding under the car, and quickly ran towards the stairs. She knew she was quick, but she didn't count on how quick they would be too.
Just as she was reaching the door, she felt a sharp pain from her left shoulder, all the way down to her hip. This was followed by another blow from the right. One of the men had caught up with her and body slammed her, throwing her against a wall, she winced in pain. He too landed on the floor, so she used the opportunity to make another run for the stairs, this time she was successful, and began ascending the stairs to look for another way out.
John's smile returned to his face, this time it was less perverted and brought about a chuckle. He calmly pulled a radio out of his back pocket as he watched Amanda run upstairs, "OK unit 2, she's making her way up - make it interesting." He handed the radio to one of the men still on their feet and then gave a hand to the one who had tackled Amanda. "Nice job," he said as he helped him up, "I love a good game of cat and mouse."

Meanwhile, at the precinct, Liv and Fin were still trying to figure out why Amanda lied to them.
"I don't understand it, do you think we should follow her?" Fin asked.
"No, I think I've learnt my lesson from this morning, let's leave her to it". Olivia said defeatedly.
Fin called her cell anyway, but it went straight to voice mail. She really wants us to leave her alone he thought to him self.

Amanda was making her way up the stairs and onto the next floor of the parking lot, she wanted to stop to catch her breath and to see if it was clear to go through the door, but she didn't have time, she could hear John and his men on their way up behind her.
She burst through the door, looking around frantically for a place to hide. The one thing she didn't see were the four darkly dressed figures at each corner of the room. She ran towards a pickup truck she could see on the near side of the room, if she could just get in the back without anyone seeing, maybe she could wait it out. She got about half way there before she felt her head pulled back as someone yanked hold of her hair.
She let out a small scream and turned around to face another man, not one from the original five, and instinctively kicked him straight between the legs with all her strength. He let go of her hair and put his hands around the injured area and crumbled to his knees.
She turned around to continue running, and she felt a crippling impact on the side of her face. She stumbled back in shock and pain, she felt a whole new level of dizziness compared to earlier that morning, but this was different - if she passed out now who knows where John would take her? What would he do to her? She didn't want to think about it.
She fought off the unconsciousness and another man came into focus, most likely the one to deliver the punch. He laughed at her as she looked at him.
"Try again sweetheart." He mocked her, raising his fists for another blow. She staggered backwards, turning again to make another getaway, she tripped over the man she had injured, falling and hitting her head on the concrete floor. She wasn't unconscious, but not completely aware of what was happening. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion and appeared hazy. She blinked several times to try and clear her head and slowly got to her feet.
