Liv remained sat on the ground, speechless as she watched the EMTs load Amanda on to a stretcher and back down to her room in the hospital. Fin and Nick had split, Fin going with Amanda and Nick continuing over to Liv.

He knelt down beside her, trying to gain eye contact but Liv seemed to be in a daze. "Hey, Liv. You okay?" He asked, concerned.

She still didn't reply. Nick reached out a hand and lightly touched Liv's arm, she jumped slightly and her eyes darted briefly before settling on Nick's. "Nick... Uh... Sorry I didn't hear you."

"Liv - are you okay? What happened?"

"Yeah... I'm fine. Glenn... He-he jumped. He missed the cushion... Is he-"

"Yeah Liv... He's gone." Nick interrupted.

"He said that John told him to kill Amanda or he'd hurt his little girl... He didn't want to do it... I could've stopped him from-"

Nick was frustrated that Liv was blaming herself. "Liv listen. None of this was your fault, okay? You saw him, there was no way you could've stopped him. You saved Amanda - that's twice in two days. Give yourself a break."

Liv didn't reply, she instead started struggling to get to her feet, she felt Nick's hands under her arms helping her up. She wanted to object and show that she could do things by herself but didn't have the energy so allowed Nick to steady her. Nick handed over her gun that he had retrieved from the other side of the roof.

"Do you need to get checked out?" Nick asked as they walked toward the door. He felt he already knew the answer, but wanted to ask anyway.

"No, I'm fine." Liv replied, not seeming to be able to get the words out fast enough. In honesty, she'd had enough of hospitals, she just wanted to sleep in her own bed.

Nick stepped in front of her before they got to the door. "Liv, go home. See Noah, get some sleep. You've been running about for God knows how long..." Nick looked at his watch to see it was 12pm. "You've done almost two days on what? Four hours sleep?"

"But-"

"No 'but's Liv. We've got here covered. We'll send off the DNA from the cigarette, see if we can ID the Brits. I'll get Fin to go home, feed Frannie and freshen up. When he gets back I'll go home and do the same. I'll brief Barba and see if he can come down to the hospital. We can do it Liv."

She gave a submissive sigh. "Fine. There's one other thing though."

Nick gave the nod for her to continue.

"Marcie Rogers - the nurse that discharged me? She's in the cupboard nearest the stairs on the ward I was in. She's the one who delivered me the message. She reckons she was approached yesterday and doesn't know much but take her in for questioning." She paused, trying to think of anything else she needed. "I've texted you over the plates of the taxi."

"Okay, anything else?"

"Yeah actually. Wait til you get to the station to tell Marcie that Glenn is dead. Watch for her reaction." Liv started walking toward the door.

"Hey Liv," Nick waited for her to turn around, before throwing her car keys towards her. "While you were asleep this morning I brought your car over, figured you wouldn't want to walk all the way back to where you left it." He smiled, trying to add light to the situation.
