"So can you give me an answer?" I asked pissed off. I was met with Edwards silence. He came over and kissed me. I wanted to melt into his arms but he had hurt me so bad.
"That's not an answer Edward." I removed my phone from my back pocket
"Call Nik"
"Calling Nik." I sighed
"Hello, Love."
"Hey, I need tickets from Volterra to forks. Then I coming back with you."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes,"
"See you soon, love." He hung up and I slipped it back into my back pocket.
"I can't see but I can tell that you're in pain. I came to save you because I don't want you dead. But if we got back together, I have a really bad feeling it won't go well. I love you Edward, I really do, I just....I need someone who is there when things get tough, who doesn't abandon me."
"Alice" I shout and there was rush of footsteps before the door opened.
"Take me to the airport please."
"But. But I saw."
"Please, Alice."
"Okay." She took my hand and guided me out of there
"Goodbye Edward."
"Jacqueline." He breathed. We made our way downstairs Where Bella and Jasper were talking .
"Jack, what's going on?"
"I'm leaving." I told them
"Okay, where's Edward." I turned back in the general direction of where I came. Then back to Bella.
"Let's go home."

I wrangled with my fingers sitting on the couch waiting for Dad to come home.
"Why are you so nervous?" Bella asked but before I could answer the door opened and I heard Dad's police boots stomp in from the cold.
"Dad?"
"Jack? You're back." I stood up and felt him embrace me
"When did you get back? How was your trip?" I smiled softly
"It was good, infact that's why I'm here. I came back for a few days, and was going to leave it till later but I think now is as good as a time as any. I would like your permission to permanently live with the Mikaelson's."
"What? Aren't ....I thought you were better. Happier."
"I am and I love staying here, but there is still a lot I need to learn and I know they can teach me. I promise I will come back..I."
"You're nearly finished with school here. Why not stay." I sigh, This would be so much easier if he knew the truth. But I can't and he can never know.
"There are reasons why, Dad."
"You're already leaving for college, I don't get why you need to leave before then."
"I...I guess I could stay, if you want me too."
"I want you to stay for you not because I forced you. Look this is a lot to take in, let me sleep on it ." hearing him leave I groaned this is not how I imagined it. Oh wait he would have been compelled into agreeing but I didn't want to do that. My thoughts make no sense
"Why do you want to move so bad."
"It's not that, I just know there is something more for me, you know, that just because I'm blind doesn't mean I'll stay that way, we know what's out there, what's possible. I'm gonna get it Bella and no one is going to stop me ."
"But what about Edward."
"He abandoned me, he left because he thought it was best, you saw how I was and I knew you were the same. He didn't give me one ounce of hope that it would be different. I'm inclined to believe him, if things were going to be different he would've done or said something."
"But if we go together, convince them."
"Even if we did how long would it take them for us to actually to do it."
"I don't believe you. I think you're afraid to get hurt again. I know what they did was what's best for me, for us. But you're afraid to get hurt again so your running away."
"Is it really running away if the end result is getting what I want?" I replied
"You're scared."
"I was, not anymore."
"He loves you, just like Jasper loves me. Why can't you see it."
"Because I mixed a bunch of chemicals and they blinded me. Don't you get it I'm running towards something not away from it. Where I am, the people I'm with they're vampires. Bella."
"What?"
"They're vampires, I've known about them since I was 10 the ones who tutored me, who made me stronger they're vampires. a different kind of vampire. The first ones in existence."
"Why, why didn't you tell me."
"Because it wasn't mine to tell but we are heading full steam ahead into a future . I will get what I want and not be judged for it. It's what we were meant to be. And when I have it I will come back and you will have it too. Sisters forever"
"These vampires what are they like."
"A lot more human. They can eat sleep, lead normal lives, to the untrained eye, they seem normal and they have these rings to protect them from sunlight. Unless you're well diverse you won't know anything different. My friends they accept me, they know what I want and never judge me for it. When I even mention wanting to become one he shuts me down, like I'm some china doll that would be broken if I ever did. No this is the next step for us. It's what we're meant to be I know it.
Infact you could come with me. Get to know them or hell just as Nik he's one for just turning for the fun of it.
"Stop, just stop. I can't deal with this, I can't deal." She ran upstairs and I sighed
"Why are you so bent on being one of us." I jumped hearing Edwards voice.
"Why are you here?"
"I wanted to try and talk some sense into you."
"You're not."
"Jackie."
"You know I wish. I wish that you would accept me." I heard him chuckle
"You think I don't accept you."
"You don't accept what I want. I wanted you to stay, you didn't I wanted you turn me, you refuse, you fight me in a losing battle."
"That's a relationship."
"It's pissing me off. I will tell you this so Alice doesn't bother. Look I am going to bed alone, in the morning I'm telling my Dad that I will stay until I graduate. That night I have a one way ticket to New Orleans where I will have the life I want, where I will be the best version of myself. Cleo, up and right." I moved my way upstairs and into bed
The next morning I told Dad and Nik what I would be doing.
