Chapter Fifteen - Jealousy Rears its Ugly Head

2 months later

"Mommy, Mommy, Mommy." I groan hearing my children scream

"Yeah."

"Nessie's coming to stay. Nessie's coming to stay." They laughed.

"Alright. Okay, who wants breakfast. Let, give your Mom time to wake up." Stefan said sitting up and sliding out of bed

"Yay." I open my eyes and rub them then look at the time. 6:30.

"No, not fair." I pout but get up anyway. I went downstairs and sat with Ansel and Charlie.

"Okay, new rule. If you wake up before Mommy and Stefan. You take these and play with them till we wake up okay." I said holding two i pads."

"Okay" The chirped as Stefan gave them pancakes. After getting coffee I went out onto the balcony that looked onto the Abatoir. Nik came out.

"You're up early."

"I think Ansel and Charlie, inherit your bad timing. Nik."

"I told you they had a bit of the devil in their eyes."

"You sure did."

"What's going on with Marcel these days. You not speaking to him."

"He has a knack for being annoyed at my every fault. Nothing to concern yourself with."

"It is. I'm a Mikaelson just as much as I am a Salvatore."

"Coming from the former Swan."

"You know if you need us. Hayley and I are just across the way."

"You concentrate on our children."

"I will. Always and Forever." I headed back inside and had breakfast with my family. As the children played with Nessie. I smiled fondly at the three playing together. They were roughly the same age except Nessie looked 17 while the boys aged normally.

"What are you thinking about?"

"How, they are growing up so fast. Some more than others."

"Are you feeling broody?" He jokingly asked wrapping a arm around me and kissed my neck.

"Aren't you?" I sighed holding onto his hand.

"I would never change our way of living, I practically orchestrated the whole thing. I have fought so hard for stuff and screamed at the world for not being the way I wanted. I got so used to that noise, when you came along and they did it all stopped. Being a wife and a mother has fulfilled me in ways I never thought could." I turned myself to face him

"Couples, normal couples like would be starting a family, or with us growing a family. Yet, for our kind. It doesn't happen. I find myself missing those moments when they were babies and all they wanted me."

"All they want now is you, they love you."

"I know they do. I just miss them being babies." I smile a little "Ignore me, I'm being silly."

"You're not, forever is long time when you stay the same and those around you grow older."

"But they won't grow old, a time will come where they will stop aging where it's 10 years or 20. They will be the only children I ever have."

"You want more children?" I play with the hem of his t-shirt.

"Do you want to know my paradise is?"

"No, what is it?" He moved my hair behind my shoulder

"Sitting out on the porch of a nice house just outside the city. Children with the skin and kindness of their father, but the deviousness fire of their mother. But all very much happy with their older siblings carrying them on their shoulders."

"That sounds nice." He kissed me softly I hummed

"It does, but there aren't gonna be any mini Salvatores running around anytime now." I gave him another kiss and went to join the kids in playing.

"I watched Jack go and play with the kids. Talking about kids made me think. The only way your supernatural and you have kids is if your anything but a vampire or a hybrid.

"Hey, I'm going to go take care of a few things. I will be back later." Jack turned her head to me

"Okay, love you."

"Love you too." I kissed her head

"Say bye, kids."

"Bye Stefan."

"Bye Kids." I grabbed my jacket and left the apartment bringing up a group chat.

To- Freya, Davina, Bonnie

I need your help, now

I sent the text and headed as far away from the flat. I met up with the girls and sat down.

"Why are we here, Stefan?" Bonnie asks me

"Is there a way we can get around the vampire, no procreation thing."

"What?" Freya asked

"Yeah, that is not just not working for me." I told them

"It's not supposed to work for you, you're dead. " Davina deadpanned

"Yes, but it works for Klaus."

"Klaus is a hybrid, he was born a werewolf but magic made him a vampire."

"I was born a human..."

"You died a human and came back in limbo before completing transition. What's brought all of this on, Stefan." I sigh and look down before facing them.

"Jack wants more children. Something I can't give to her."

"Stefan." Bonnie sighs.

"It's impossible either way, you're both vampires, you are for all human purposes, dead. You both chose this life one way or the other." Freya looked pityingly at me.

"But you're witches. All of us have been through stuff we didn't think was possible, beyond the normal of supernatural. There must be a way, stranger things have happened."

"It can't be done. I mean Caroline did she carried twin witches."

"After the Gemini coven performed a very protective spell." Bonnie retorted. I was getting frustrated

"Look, please, Just try."

"Can you give us a second please." Bonnie asked Freya and Davina. They nodded and left

"This is very sudden, living through decades of knowing the impossible, to demanding to procreate."

"Valerie, Katherine, Elena, Caroline. I loved them all yet none more that Jacqueline. I found a life with her, someone to spend with forever. Then she talked about what we had both been thinking about. Children. Something that we always wanted."

"She has it, Stefan. Ansel and Charlie."

"I know and I love them." She came to the realisation

"But they're Klaus' not yours." She spoke what was going on in my head

"Jealousy rears its ugly head. I love Ansel and Charlie. I do, I wouldn't hurt them for the world but, it's just the human in me."

"I'm sorry Stefan but there is nothing that can be done." She gave my hand a squeeze before leaving too. It was worth a try I guess.
