Chapter Two

I continued on as normal, classes, homework and preparing to leave. Edward was still on my back but I refuse to let him or anyone change my mind. The truth is, I had been hurt and badly. Even though I forgave I never forgot and I was moving on. I knew my future, what I wanted it to be, I just thought that I would have someone to spend it with. I moved into a recluse those sitting on a empty table  listening to music to drown out my time.

It was them leaving all over again except this time I wasn't broken. Bella would always come and get me when lunch was over and we'd talk when we were going places. But she didn't get that I couldn't learn to trust them anymore.

I got out of Jasper's car when we reached the station.

"Kol, Kol, Kol."

"Hey, besite what is happening." I smile.

"When are you coming back everyone around here is annoying me and you're are the only fun person."

"Kol! I heard that." I heard Rebekah in the background

"Good you were supposed to." Kol retorted

"Is that Jack, you're talking too."

"Hey Bekah."

"Oh my gosh, you have to come back Kol is absolutely annoying more annoying than usual because he keeps asking when you're coming home."

"I am not." They started arguing.

"Guys stop. I'm on the first night flight out, with Nik."

"Good. when you get back we're going to have so much fun. Shopping, boys more shopping."

"Tuning you into a vampire so that we can rain blood on small towns like mystic falls." Kol adds a little dazed.

"You two are insane."

"Jackie!" I heard my sister call.

"Look I have to go, I will catch up with you when I get back.

"See ya!"

"Girls." I heard Jasper

"Alice wanted me to remind you that your tickets to Florida expire soon so you should proberly use them?"

"What tickets."

"One's we got for our birthday." I replied

"Maybe it will be good to get some distance."

"As long as you use the companion ticket." Bella replied to her boyfriend and I sighed, how did I know what was coming.

"Wait there are three tickets."

"Four if I was still with Edward. But I'm not. Can we go I'm hungry." Dad grunted about the tickets all the way to the diner. I messaged some of my friends that I was heading to Florida for the weekend. Bad Idea, a bunch of them decided they were going to join me.

"Mom!"

"Awh my babies." I was hugged by her and Phil. we started talking about what was going on. I had told her about my break up and application to the University of New Orleans.

"Oh Mom, some of my friends heard that I was going to be here this weekend so they wanted to come over, is that okay?"

"How many friends."

"Seven, but they all have their own places to stay."

"Wow, you've been busy haven't you."

"I know, it's great out there, the culture and the beliefs oh and the jazz. You should hear the jazz and late night parties." It's brilliant."

"You look so excited."

"I am. This the best and biggest step Mom." I rambled off about nearly everything I was planning to do."

"Jackie, you're friends are here." I had Cleo guide me out.

"Jack-Jack!"

"Guys!" I was tackled into a hug. Kol, Elena, Rebekah, Stefan, Tyler and Hayley had all come out to see me."I'm so glad you're here."

"We brought my little brother Jeremy along as well."

"Nice to meet you." We shook hands then all of us were in a circle we jumped around in happiness.

"Alight, where is the beach." I laughed at Rebekah.

"Meet the family first." guys this is My Mom Renee, Sister Bella, her boyfriend Jasper and My step dad Phil. Fam, these are Kol, Elena, Jeremy, Rebekah, Stefan, Tyler and Hayley. My friends and future roomies from New Orleans. they greeted each other.

"Now beach."We all changed and Kol carried me out. I laughed furiously as he tickled me.  Bekah put on some music and we started dancing and playing all sorts of random stuff.

"Your Mom is talking about us." Kol draped his arm around me

"What is she saying."

"She's commenting on how happy you look. How the bad stuff hasn't happened and you're a normal, vibrant 18 year old." Bekah told me and I awed

"Now she's asking what went wrong with Edward. Asking how your sister took Jasper back but you didn't with him.

"Oh my gosh, get over it already."

"Why didn't you take him back."

"Because ass disrespected me and If I have learnt anything from a Mikaelson is that does not bode well for the other party."

"You are one of us." I smile

"Would you have taken him back, though?" Elena asked as we all sat down on the beach.

"Maybe. You know there was a part of me that hope when I showed how tough I was how dependant and fearless, it would make something click. That I'm not a child to be protected, that despite these" I pointed to my eyes "I'm not a invalid or someone who can be dissuaded. I admit that after seeing all that he would just kiss me and swear he would never doubt me and never leave me again but he didn't. It never happened. Even now he still want me to be this perfect impaired human. I'm not meant for that. I saw that when I met him I was meant for something more. I'm gonna get it with or without him."

"That's our girl."

"Okay enough of the heavy. Shoulder fight!" Kol yelled and lifted me up onto his shoulders. we started in the water pushing each other, when Mom came down.

"Food's up."

I held onto Tyler's head as we went back up. Eating our food we talked. Then us girls soaked up the remain sun. The others left and it was just us. Mom gave me a quilt of our old trip t-shirts. I loved it. Pictures were taken that someday I would see but for then it was back home to reality. I was busy with having most of my stuff moved. If it wasn't that then it was school. Mine and Bella's life were clearly heading down different routes.
