-Heather's P.O.V
I opened my eyes, meeting a bright light shining in my face. I squeezed my eyes shut, groaning when I felt my head pounding as I shivered. When I re-opened my eyes, I was in a hospital. White walls, a small TV in the right corner, an IV in my arm. What am I doing here? I looked next to me, seeing a sleeping Niall, snores left from his slightly parted mouth. I ran my fingers through his hair, watching his eyes open.
"Heather, are you okay?" He asked, grasping my hand as his eyes widened. I nodded slowly, what happened?
"Ah, you're awake." I turned around seeing a tall slim male nurse who's name was Tony. He was older, at least in his fourties or late thirties.
"Yeah..." I mumbled, trailing off since I was confused as why I was in the hospital.
"I'm assuming you don't know why you're here, correct?" He asked raising an eyebrow, Niall laced our fingers together as I shook my head no. He nodded slowly, reading and flipping through his papers.
"Is it alright if he listens?" I nodded, wanting to know what is the matter with me. He sighed before placing his clip board on the side table.
"I've already told your mother, but I don't know how you feel about this. It's like a disorder, you wake up because of a night terror. But you don't know that, you know you have the nightmares but not aware that you're waking up. This causes you to wake up, sometimes you aren't speaking because you're still asleep. You're up for at least 15-20 minutes, it happens when you're in deep sleep." It was the nightmares, the nightmares I've had nearly every night. Niall seemed as shock as I did, but I still don't get why I'm here.
"Why am I here?" I never realized how raspy and deep my throat was, it was painful.
"Well, last night it seemed to be bad. You've had a nightmare, and had a fever. That is normal, but it's new for you. So, I called your doctor and she would like you to go their after you leave here. Make sure you are drinking lots of fluids, you are very dehydrated." I nodded, looking down at the IV that was in my arm. I nearly felt sick at looking at this, needles were not my thing.
"Thank you doctor." Niall shook Tony's hand before he exited the room, leaving us alone. I sighed, pushing the blanket off me towards the side when I placed my feet on the cold tiled floor. Niall rushed to my side, I looked up at him giving him a smile.
"Come on, lets get you to the doctors."
We pulled up to the familiar large doctors office, making me scream silently. I hate the doctors with a passion, not kidding. I stepped out of the car, pulling down the long sleeve over my hands that I was currently wearing since it was cold out. Niall and I entered the warm building, his arm wrapped around my waist as we walked up to the front desk.
"Heather Foster." The front desk lady nodded typing into the computer, as she typed on the computer.
"Go right back their, first door on the left Dr. Hall is waiting for you." She gave us a cheery smile as we thanked her, making our way towards the room we were assigned too.
"Oh my, Heather you haven't grown an inch." Dr. Hall smiled, she was actually my favorite. She never judged me, and knows nearly everything about me. I wrapped my arms around her while Niall sat in the gray chair.
"That's my boyfriend Niall." My raspy voice spoke, she stuck her hand out as they introduced each other.
"Please, take a seat on the bed." I hopped onto the plastic covered bed, swinging my legs back and forth.
"So, you've been having bad night terrors? The doctor told me." She asked, going through my file that was in a light yellow colored folder. I nodded as she continued going through them, she stood up placing the file onto the desk.
"I just need to take your weight and height." I shifted down from the bed, immediatly playing with my fingers. I didn't want to, I knew what was going to happen if she found out about my weight. Niall seemed to notice my uncomfortableness as I stood on the scale. I looked down seeing the numbers appear, 95. Dr. Hall sighed to herself, informing me to step off. I hopped back onto the bed, looking at the floor.
"Heather, do you realize that you're underweight?" I continued to stare at the floor, ignoring the question. I could see Niall frown at the corner of my eye.
"Niall, would you leave the room please." Dr Hall asked gently, he scoffed shaking his head.
"No, I will not. She is my girlfriend and I am not letting any secrets come between us." He spoke rather harshly, it's too late for that.
"Have you been taking your medicine that you're suppose to be taking?" I shook my head no as Niall looked at me.
"What medicine?" He asked lowly, I felt my eyes water, I felt embarressed to speak about it.
"I'll leave you two alone for a moment," Dr. Hall stood up exiting the room as she closed the door behind her, Niall standing up. He stood in front of me, lifting my chin up with his index finger and thumb.
"Heather, don't lie to me." He whispered, his blue eyes filled with concern making my heart break.
"I have anxiety Niall, and depression. I don't take the medicine because it makes me want to kill myself everytime." My voice cracked, he pulled me into his arms hugging me tightly while I sobbed into his shoulder.
"Sh baby, shh." He cooed, my arms wrapping around him as I inhaled his strong scent that drove me crazy. My body shook as the sobs fell from my lips rapidly, Niall squeezing my body with more of a grip.
"Heather, breathe. Calm down." He rubbed my back up and down, as my breathing started to calm down hearing Niall sighing in relief.
"Look at me," he whispered wiping my tears away.
"We will get through this together, I'll remind you everyday to take your medicine. I will make you feel better about yourself, you can do this. I'll help you as much as I can with your nightmares, I will put more effort into our relationship and worry more about your health. Okay?" He asked, smiling softly at me.
"Okay." He hugged me once more, my eyes drifted towards the window. I noticed three figures standing by a large oak tree with smirks plastered onto their faces.
Macy, Clayton and Max.
