-Heather's P.O.V

When I got home, I took a hot shower and changed into some comfy clothes, before going onto my laptop and doing research. I typed in the name Collin, seeing thousands of results pop up. Damn I feel stupid for not knowing his last name, I opened another tab and logged onto Facebook.

I scrolled through Olivia's page, hoping to find a last name of some sort, when I stopped on one of the pictures. It was her and a guy who was at least late, early twenties. A tag with the name 'Collin Hall' let me know that it was him. I went back onto google, typing in the full name, seeing less results.

I clicked on a newspaper article, reading the old black font, squinting my eye so I was able to read. Well, damn this guy isn't safe or good. He's been arrested for Grand Theft Auto, robbery, domestic violence against ex-girlfriend, making me frown. When I scrolled further down, it was even worse. He murdered his eight year old sister at the age of seventeen for yelling at him.

This is awful.

As I continued scrolling, the police mentioned in the paper there was no bail on him, nor did it say that he had gotten out of jail. This was printed in 2007, and were now in 2014, seven years later. Something isn't right, if he murdered his sister, he would still be in jail.

Wouldn't he?

I mean, if you murder someone you obviously wouldn't get bail, I tapped my fingers against my chin, an idea popping into mind. Should I go to the police station and ask? Then possibly tell them where he is?

No, that would get me in more trouble.

I sighed massaging my temples, slamming my computer shut and pushing it away from me. I got up from my desk chair, grabbing my purse and shoving my phone into it while I slipped on my Sperry's, rushing down the stairs seeing it was eight thirty, I had time.

"Heather? Where are you going?" I looked over at Luke who was playing a game with Maddie.

"I have to run somewhere quick, watch her please." I rushed out the door before letting him reply, remembering that I couldn't drive. I sighed wrapping my arms around myself, walking down the sidewalk. It wasn't a far walk, so I was good.

I stepped in front of the police station, pulling the wooden door open, the smell of metal filling my senses. The main desk had a computer with files stacked on it, with an older man typing on the computer.

"Can I help you ma'am?" He asked, his voice raspy, a small smile on his face. I returned it before sitting in the green cushion chair, sitting with my right leg crossed over my left.

"Uh yes, do you have the file of Collin Hall?" I bit my lip, hoping he would say yes and just give it to me.

"Yes ma'am, but that is all private unless you are family." He eyed me, giving me a apologetic smile.

"I'm his ex girlfriend." I lied, my leg bouncing up and down as I fiddled with my fingers, he stared at me for a brief moment before nodding.

"Of course, let me grab it." He stood up from his chair, pulling his pants up before going towards the back, unlocking the filing cabinet as I waited patiently in the chair, letting out a deep breath. At least I'm getting the file, maybe I can find out more. The officer pulled out a thick, yellow folder, locking the filing cabinet back up. "Here you go ma'am." I thanked him grabbing the folder from his stubby hands, dropping my purse onto the floor.

I was shocked by how many papers were in here, full of his charges and whatever he has done. There was several mug shots, meaning he's been arrested more than once, and that doesn't surprise me to be honest. I grabbed one of his papers, reading it carefully.
