"Til' now I always got by on my own,
I never really cared until I met you."
-Heather's P.O.V
What?
He's in love with me?
Everything around me seemed to be frozen, I opened my mouth to speak but nothing would come out. Worry flashed across Niall's face as I stared at him with wide eyes, my mouth open slightly. He ran his fingers through his hair tugging on it, groaning as he did so.
"I should of known you didn't feel the same, I mean who would want to be with a guy like me?" He chuckled sickly, making my heart break. Niall was hurt, he was broken. Everyone around him only seen the bad, dangerous side of Niall. When in reality, he was the boy who just wanted to be love. And I wanted to be that someone that could love him.
"Why are you staring at me like that? I don't want your pity." He snapped, I ignored his attitude taking a step towards him. I placed my hands on his soft cheeks crashing our lips together, smelling his after shave. He seemed shocked by my move, but eventually removed his hands from his hair as he placed his hands on the back of my neck. Everybody could be afraid of Niall, but I didn't need to be. This is all he's wanted. To be loved by someone who truly cares, and won't hurt him.
I pulled away, looking into his blue eyes that seemed lighter than usual. I smiled at him, my thumb tracing his bottom lip.
"I love you Niall, and I would love to be your girlfriend." A smile was plastered on his face before he wrapped his arms around me tightly spinning me around. I giggled hugging him tightly, burrying my face into his shoulder.
"First time I've cared for someone, I won't hurt you.." He spoke, placing me back on my feet when I started becoming dizzy. I nodded, running my hands down his arms.
"I know, I trust you." He placed a kiss onto my forehead, his lips lingering for a moment before he grabbed my hand we walked towards the beach. I slipped off my Vans, bending down to grab them with my opposite hand that Niall wasn't holding before my feet sank into the cool sand. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks was the only sound heard, it was relaxing. We plopped down on the sand, close enough to the point where I could feel the extremly ice cold water hitting against the bottom of my foot. I crossed my legs indian style, using my index finger to trace random designs in the sand.
"She was my ex girlfriend," Niall spoke randomly as he looked out into the water. I raised an eyebrow, even though he couldn't see. But then a thought came into my mind, he was talking about Olivia. "She was beautiful. She had long brown hair, with bright blue eyes." He glanced in my direction, before his eyes flickered back to the water.
"We were together for two years, I never thought I would loose her. She was the best thing that happened to me, until one night." He blinked a few times, and I thought he was going to cry. I grabbed his hand gently, I gave him a small smile, silently telling him to continue.
"Max got her, I went ballistic. She cried for me, and I couldn't do anything about it. I ended up finding her two months later, and she didn't want to be with me anymore. I was the bad guy that didn't save her from her demons." By the time he was finished, not a single tear left his eye. I sat on his lap so both of my legs rested on the side of his thighs with my hands placed on his hips.
"I'm sorry, that must of been hard. I still have one question for you." I told him, messing with the loose strings on the pocket of his sweatshirt. He nodded.
"Why am I mistaken for her?" He didn't sigh, his body didn't tense at the question. He answered immediatley.
"You guys look alike, not exactly alike but alike. If that makes sense." I nodded smiling.
"Thank you for telling me." He shrugged, smiling at me.
"I would tell you anything, girlfriend." He smirked, I blushed causing him to chuckle at me. I loved seeing him happy.
"What did Max do to her?" His laughter died down, staring at me as he tucked a piece of my brown hair behind my ear.
"They used her as a slave, it was awful. Remember the night we went to dinner and Max said all that shit to you?" He asked, I nodded remembering the night as if it was yesterday.
"They beat her, badly. But hey, I won't let that happen to you. I promise." He pecked my lips softly before he laid on his back pulling me down with him. I rested my cheek on his chest, as he ran his fingers through my hair. The waves became blocked out as I slowly started drifting to sleep.
'I ran down the dark muddy trail, my heart beating quicker as I heard his footsteps behind me. Sweat poured down my forehead, the salty liquid going into my mouth. I let out a scream as I was pushed down to the ground, my sobs filling the quiet forrest.
"You're stupid for doing that, Heather." He growled, tracing the knife against my flesh making me whimper. His chuckled filled my ears, as he put more pressure onto the knife as it went into my hip. His filthy hand clamped over my mouth, slowly dragging the knife across as my hip, loud sobs became muffled by his hand.
"Clayton, no please." I spoke through his hand, hearing him groan in annoyance at me.
"Sh, baby it's almost over." He cooed, smirking as the stinging cut began to burn as he pushed the knife in deeper. I ripped his hand off my face, letting out in ear piercing scream suddenly cut off by his fist making contact with my cheeks. The tears fell like waterfalls, he pulled out a roll of duck tape, sliding it onto my mouth so no one could hear me.
"Now, lets have some fun honey." He whispered, tracing his fingers above my pant line as my body trembled in fear. He undid his pants, pulling his underwear off afterwards. He smirked unbuttoning my pants as my eyes widened in fear my body trying to wiggle away from him.
"No no no." He spoke, shaking his index fingers back and forth. He gripped my pants and panties, roughly sliding them down my shaky legs. He sat on top of me, as I let out a muffled scream as I felt a sharp pain in my lower region.
"Heather, wake up!" He shook me roughly, yelling for me to stop moving as my body shook uncontrollaby.
"Wake up!"
I sat up panting when I realized I wasn't anywheres near Clayton, I was in Niall's flat.
"Heather, baby." Niall placed his hands on my shoulders, I turned around crawling into his lap letting my tears fall onto his shoulder. He rubbed my back, placing soft kisses onto my hair.
"Baby, it's okay shh. I'm here." He cooed, squeezing me gently while I gripped his arms as all the memories came back into my mind.
"Niall." I sobbed, he 'shh' me making me burry my face into his neck deeper smelling his cologne that filled my senses.
"Go to sleep honey, I'll be here in the morning." He held onto me as my tears slowly started to dry up, my eyes becoming heavy from all the crying making my eyes flutter shut.

I grabbed two coffee mugs, pouring hot coffee into them as I waited patiently for Heather to awake from her slumber. I turned around seeing her tired figure leaning against the wall, her eyes swollen from all the crying that awoke me along with her screams.
"Morning baby, how are you feeling? How did you sleep?" I asked placing the mugs onto the table, walking towards her as I rubbed her arms gently.
"I slept great." She smiled, what? Does she not remember that she woke up crying in the middle of the night?
"You woke me up last night having a bad dream, can you tell me what happened?" I asked, placing my hands onto her hips as I pulled her against my bare chest. She furrowed her eyebrows together, staring at me weird.
"What are you talking about? I didn't have a bad dream, silly." She pecked me on the cheek, but I felt extremley confused. She woke up crying and screaming, she started to yell Claytons name. I looked back at her, she drank her coffee staring at the window where the sun was shining.
She was hiding something, or hiding someone from her past. I was going to find out, and I had a strong feeling that I knew who it was.
