-Heather's P.O.V

"I'm sorry, I think I heard you wrong." I laughed nervously, he shook his head as he stared at me with worry.

"No, you didn't." He sighed running his fingers through his hair, I swallowed the lump in my throat. My brother was a murderer, a murderer. I live with him, and he kills people.

"You kill innoncent people?" I cried out, he clamped his hand over my mouth as he walked out of the gate with me, getting away from the large group of people. I pulled his hand off of me wiping my mouth with the back of my hand, I don't even know where that hand has been. "Tell me, who were those people."

"People I work with, they do the same thing I do." I was upset, disgusted and hurt. I tugged on my hair as I paced back and forth. "I don't like the job but I can't quit, they will kill me right then and there. I don't usually kill the people, only somtimes." I scoffed.

"That doesn't change anything, you're still a murderer Luke! A fucking murderer!" I raised my voice, he clenched his jaw as he breathed deeply from his nose.

"I know Heather, I know what I am. And you know what? I kill bad people, they aren't fucking innocent." He raised his voice slightly, I placed my hands on my hips shaking my head.

"Just stop, I don't want to hear it anymore. I'm leaving, tell Ami I'll be home tomorrow. I'll just stay at a friends." I told him before turning around to walk away, when he grabbed my arm. I ripped my arm away from him clenching my jaw. "Do not touch me." With that, I turned back around storming away from him.

I walked onto the dark streets, the only light coming from the street lights and some of the diners that were open. I wrapped my arms around myself tightly, feeling uncomfortable walking this late at night. I pulled out my phone from my jeans scrolling through my contacts, calling Hanna.

"Hello?"

"Hanna it's Heather."

"Duh, I have caller ID."

"Could you pick me up? I'm on the corner of charlotte street, we could have a sleep over at your house?"

"Yeah, sure! I'll be there soon!"

With that I hung up and sat on the black cold bench, feeling the metal through my jeans. I looked back and forth making sure no one was coming, my anxiety kicking in with every look I took.

"You know, a girl like you shouldn't be out this late." I jumped turning around seeing the man from the carnival, my breath hitching in my throat. He had a blonde buzz cut with a scar going across his right cheek. "Where's lover boy?" He raised an eyebrow sitting down on the bench pulling the cigarette from his pocket.

"He's my brother." I spoke with confidence, even though I was terrified.

"Don't really see the resemblence, but that's alright with me. I wouldn't mind being inside you." He winked. I felt as if my insides just threw up, he was sick.

"You're disgusting!" I snapped, holding onto the street light pole behind me even though it had no way of protecting me whatsoever. He chuckled blowing out a cloud of smoke.

"Yeah? So your brother told you his job, right? Did he tell you all of it?" He questioned smirking as I felt confused. He kills people, thats all he told me. And I am not happy about that. "Did he mention that he has sex with woman, and ends up beating them afterwards? Sometimes, he even kills them." I clamped my hand over my mouth shaking my head back and forth.

That can't be true.

That has to be a lie.

"Y-you're lying!" I pointed at him, he put his hands up in defense as the cigarette rested between his busted lips.

"I might be a killer, but I never lie darlin'." Darlin. Only Niall called me that, and was the only one aloud too.

"Let my brother go, don't let him do this to innocent people!" I cried quietly, he shook his head.

"You see, your brother came to me. He wanted the job and signed a contract, no can do sweet thang. Under one condition." I raised an eyebrow crossing my arms over my chest as his eyes roamed my body, this better not be a sexual request. "Sleep with me, then I'll let your twat of a brother go." No, no no no.

"No, hell no." I stammered, he smirked shrugging his shoulders.

"Then he's still working for me, that your ride?" He nodded his head, I looked over seeing Hanna parked at the corner. I nodded walking away when he grabbed my upper arm making me freeze. "I could of given you a ride home, if you know what I mean." He smacked me hard in the bum squeezing it afterward,  I pushed his hand off me before walk fast pace towards Hanna's car hearing his loud chuckle.

"Everything okay? Who is that freak?" Hanna questioned as I got in the car, I put on my seat belt staring at the stranger on the corner, who wouldn't break the eye contact.

"I don't know, some creep." I told her as she started driving away, nodding.

My phone was buzzing non stop in my pocket making me jump slightly, I pulled it out seeing Luke's name flash across the screen. I hit the ignore button before sliding my phone into the front pocket of my jeans, leaning back in the seat as I sighed.

Nothing ever seems to go right.

-Niall's P.O.V

"Good night Niall, I will see you in the morning." My mother kissed me in the head as I mumbled a good night, staring at the empty beer bottles that were scattered on the coffee table around my feet that rested on top of one another. She sighed quietly before turning away and going up the stairs, leaving me alone.

I haven't gotten one call from Heather, I've been waiting for a call. I've been away for almost four months, four damn months away from the love of my life. I guess she really wanted space if she hasn't called me once, I mean maybe I got about two calls but thats about it. And I didn't answer because for all I know is that she could of said I'm leaving you, or I found someone better. I don't want to hear that, ever.

My phone started ringing from the kitchen making me groan loudly, it's been going off all day and I was not in the mood to talk. I got up walking a fast pace into the kitchen grabbing my charged phone, not bothering to read the caller ID because I didn't want to get my hopes up wishing it was her calling me.

"What?" I snapped into the phone, irritated.

"Jesus sorry for calling you mate." Louis yelled through the phone, I sighed deeply sitting back on the couch with a fresh beer in my hand.

"Sorry, just tired s'all." I mumbled taking a large gulp.

"I saw her today, you know." He trailed off, thats what annoyed me. He acted as if I would cry if I heard her name, when I wouldn't.

"You can say her name Lou, and where? With who?" I asked, hoping it wasn't another guy.

"Calm down mate, I took Eleanor to the carnival and she was there. She looked really upset man, she didn't look good at all." I frowned slightly, why?

"What do you mean?"

"She just looked so broken, not her usual self. I mean she hasn't talk to the lads and I since the day we got back from Virginia, this is the first time we talked in a while." He sighed, I could pratically smell his frown through the phone.

"Who was there with her? At the carnival." I questioned once more, since he had ignored me the first time.

"Luke, but there was something strange going on. He had a bruised eye, when I walked away I could hear her screaming at him. Somethings going on with those two." I shrugged tapping my fingers against the glass bottle.

"There sibilings Lou, they fight all the time I'm sure." I told him.

"Oh! Did I mention, I saw her the other day leaving the counciling place with her mom, they were in a pretty intense fight." That's unusual, Heather and her mom never really fight. At least that's what I know. "Anyways, that's not why I called, I mean it was but I have something to ask. Are you still going to the surprise shit or whatever?" I thought about it before nodding, a smiling appearing on my face.

"Of course, I'll be there."
