I was about to say something to Serafina when a tall man with jet black hair and a pair of piercing blue eyes that seemed to look strait at me, called out her name. Serafina stood up and walked to him and hesitated as he held out his hand for her to shake and finally shook his hand. "My name is Dr. Vanheilsing. I am going to be talking with you today." the man said. The man had no idea that I was following them only Serafina did. He walked into a large office with a desk, two chairs(probably for grown ups I'm guessing) and beanbags spread throughout the room. "Take a seat. Any of them." He said motioning to all the beanbags. Serafina walked over to the the turquoise one in the corner, and plopped onto it. Of course, she chose that one. It was her favorite color and the furthest away from the mans desk. "How are you Sarafina?" Dr. Vanheilsing said as he sat on the beanbag in front of her. "It's Serafina." She replied. "I'm fine." "Sorry about that, I was never good at pronouncing names." He sounded like he expected her to laugh, yet no sound came out of her. Not even a crack of a smile. "Oh I see. You think this appointment is absolutely useless, and that we're going to hurt your friend. Am I correct, Serafina?" Serafina looked up in shock. "How did you...." Dr. Vanheilsing cut her off, "I was a client here just like you are. I know exactly what it's like to be here." "You were?" She asked as she rested her head in her hands and leaned forward, with her face painted with curiosity. He nodded. "What was their name?" Serafina asked.
That then started the whole relationship between Serafina and Dr. Vanheilsing. She told him about all of our adventures together. Dr. Vanheilsing told her some of his old ones too. They had a great time. Surprisingly, Serafina didn't want to leave, but of course we had too.
We visited Dr. Vanheilsings office every other Tuesday. It seemed like overtime the more we went, the more Serafina stopped talking to me. She told the man almost everything she tells me. About how she loves math, but doesn't tell anyone because all the kids make fun of her. How she loves sitting on the old wooden porch and reading on a rainy day, ever sense she was little. All the things I thought were put little secrets became his too, and I didn't like it at all. I always knew Serafina had something different about her than every other kid that invents an imaginary friend. Serafina looks at me and talks to me like I'm human. It seems like I always get lost pretending that I'm human when I'm around her, then I realize it's impossible. I'm going to fade from her mind sooner or later.////////////////////////////////////////////
