Her parents are making Serafina go to a counselor for "troubled youngsters." When Serafina first created me, I overheard her parents whispering in the kitchen. They had said that imaginary friends only last a little while and it's only temporary, nothing to worry about. But jokes on them I haven't gone anywhere! They're definitely not happy about that, but I am. Serafina's parents were definitely right about imaginary friends not lasting long. We last for about a month or two and then we are forgotten. I have hope for Serafina and I. If we lasted this long, there has to be a good ending for us.

We arrived to the counselors office when Serafina let out an aggravated sigh. "Mom, he's helped me more than you ever have, there is nothing wrong with him!" "You have a problem sweetheart, and Dr. Vanheilsing is going to help you fix it." Her mom said with an irritated tone. Serafina opened the car door and glared at her mother and shouted, "I have no problem!" Then slammed the car door shut.
I've never seen Serafina mad before. Even when she was so young, the worst I've ever seen are the temper tantrums where she would throw things at people when she didn't get what she wanted(and those were pretty bad.) For an eight year old she definitely knows how to have a good argument.
Her parents walked into the large building with Serafina stomping behind them then me following her. Her parents told Serafina to sit in the waiting room while they checked her in. When they were totally out of sight, Serafina turned to me and said, "Kurt, what if they get rid of you?" I gave her a stern look. "They won't get rid of me. Only one person can." "Who?" She asked with her voice full of worry. "I'll tell you when your older." If it lasts that long. Besides, both you and me know that the only person that can get rid of me, is Serafina herself.
