Shiro x pidge (shidge fanfic)

Ch. 4

(Narrator POV)
After a few hours the paladins went back to their daily routine. Except pidge, she knew that if she went back into her room and messed with her computer she would get back into staring at it for hours, maybe even days and avoid everyone. "This is becoming a bad habit" she thought to herself, now as the paladins walk by they would either see her with her lion or the rest area (living room). Right now she's laying against the foot of the couch reading learning more of the altean language.

(Katie POV)
After learning a few words and trying to make it into a complete sentences my eyes eventually start to doze off when ever shiro passes by the entrance,  he been taking care of me a lot lately, as if he really do care about what I do..
he passes by again carrying a box of who knows what inside...
maybe I should go talk to him....nah I wouldn't want to bother... after a few seconds I stand up, dust myself off and head out the door looking towards the direction shiro went. I don't see him. I then start to walk down the hallway looking in every room the hallway has to offer. Going down deeper into the hallway it led me to a door to his room... I'm pretty positive he's in here, where else would he be?
I looked to my left then right. Hallways are empty.. maybe I should just talk to him since I have nothing better to do..
I faced the door with my hand up in a position ready to knock.

"Why am I hesitating?"
I stood there for. A few seconds before I heard a voice behind me
"Hey"
I jumped "o-oh... uhh.."
Shiro smiles down at me holding the big box "may I help you?"
I blushed a little out of embarrassment. "Ahh..haha.. n-no I was just...it's just that... I saw you.."
Shiro opened his room door with his foot, I moved out of the way.
He set the box down and sighed "what's up? You came up here for a reason.. don't turn back now"
I stood up straight getting my thoughts together. "Oh umm... it was nothing.. it's just that I saw you pass by a couple times and you seemed busy and since I have nothing to do I thought it'd be nice to ..help out."
Shiro chuckled "well I guess I have some bad news.. I'm no longer busy, this is the box I was looking for..."
I took a big sigh of relief "oh."
"Buuuttt.... since you came all the way down here why not help me out putting what ever this thing is together" he put his hand on the box then gave me another one of his precious smiles. .. till I came to the realization.. I-is he actually inviting me into his room? Ahh what should I do..!
I hesitated to speak, "uhh..oh yeah sure.." the first step I took into his room was magical, I looked around left and right up and down..actually have never been in his room before this is the first.. his room is near and clean, no clothes laying around everything is in place..it's interesting to think about..I would like to see how his room would be if he made a mess..
as I entered the room he went around me to close the door, at this point I was alert of what was going on.
"What has happen was.. I was helping Coran out with the storage in the castle along with hunk and Kieth. And we ended up finding a lot of cool stuff, now this box he says it's supposed to be a devise that can easily find out if a certain rock has a crystal in it.. as I like to call it.. the crystal clearer!"
I chuckled at the name for it, we both did "ooor maybe I should come up with a better name" shiro added.
"Oh nah crystal clearer seems legit to me, never would have thought of that" I  sarcastically said giggling a little bit.
Our eyes met, I quickly looked away and stared at the box, "sooo ummm.."
Shiro snapped back to reality then quickly kept his focus on the box. "Yeah... so.... coran mentioned there's an instruction manual here somewhere.." we kept our eyes on the box, as he slowly opened it a huge cloud of dust bursted through before us even opening it up completely, we covered our mouths and nose then fanned off the dust. Finally we were able to see what was inside the box, there was a bunch of cob webs but other than that there were metal pieces and a few strange unknown objects in there.
"You know what?" I stood up to dust myself off" i have some tools that can help us out on this! I'll be right back I'll go get them!"
Shiro nodded "yeah, that's a good idea...now if I can just find out..." shiro grabbed two things from the box and tried putting them together wondering what goes where.
Running out of the room and down the hall I go into my room quickly throwing things around trying to find a tool box. I never thought I'd get into spending some time with shiro, let alone being his room helping him with mechanical stuff, after all these days he helped me.. he showed me that what I was doing was unhealthy.. he actually cares about me. He's such a gentleman h
I stood there for a moment before standing up straight, I held my left hand to my heart... it's beating fast.. what is this feeling? I then felt my face, it was a little warm. Am I blushing!? I covered my face completely which made me blush even more "h-how can I have such feelings!"
I never felt like this before this is completely new! Do...
Do I like shiro?...
