Chapter 11-"a long day"

Blair's POV

It's a few days after the last case and I'm currently at the precinct doing paperwork because a case goes to court tomorrow and I'm sorting through everything so I can hand it over to Marcus.

I dunno what's wrong with lucifer, he seems to be becoming distant and I don't like it.

I start feeling sick I just roll my eyes and take a sip of my hot chocolate I made before I came into my office.

Lucifer and Chloe are currently working on an ongoing case and I'm stuck here till I finish this. I put down my cup and start typing up the rest of the stuff.

Suddenly my phone buzzes, I pick it up to see a message from Chloe.

From: Chloe
To: Blair

Hey can you pick up trixie for me since dans working and maze is hunting down a bounty?xx

From: Blair
To:Chloe

Of course I can I'll bring her into the precinct and she can chill in my office with me till your finished xx

To: Blair

Thanks Blair! i owe you one xx

Don't worry about it xx

I finish up work and check the time. It's only 1:30. Trixie still has two hours left of school so I can make a quick stop at the crime scene before I pick her up.

I print off everything and put it in a folder, I finish the rest of my drink and shut down my computer.

I put on my jacket and shove my phone in my pocket. I pick up the folder making sure I've got my gun in its holster, my keys and my badge.

Once I have everything I go to Marcus' office after locking mine and hand him the folder. "Thanks Blair" he say and I say "no problem" and turn to walk out his office.

"Where are you going?" He asks and I turn and look at him. "I'm going to lucifer and Chloe" I say and he crossed his arms over his chest.

"No your no-" I look at him and interrupt him halfway through his sentence. "I am a lieutenant it's my job to oversee cases" I say and walk out his office.

I get out the precinct and get in my car and drive to the address Chloe sent me.

After the drive

I get out the car and lock it I walk over to lucifer and Chloe.

"What's happened?" I ask and Chloe starts explaining everything to me about whats recently happened.

"Fuck sake" I say and shake my head. Turns out that the case has took a darker turn.

Lucifer keeps spacing out so I wave my hand in front of his face. "Luci?" I say and he snaps out of it.

"What's wrong?" I ask and he looks at me and says "nothing, I'm FINE!" In a cold voice and storms off.

I walk over to dan and say "do you know whats wrong with lucifer?" He shakes his head and says "he's been fine. Why what's up?".

"Nothing it doesn't matter" I say and walk away. I check the time too see I've got 10 minuets to go get trix.

I get in my car and drive to trixies school. Eventually the bell goes and children start pouring out the entrance.

I spot trixie and I wave to her and she comes running over. "Blair!" She exclaims and hugs me. I hug her back and say "Common let's go" as I open the passenger door for her to get in.

She hops in and puts her seatbelt on after I close the passenger door and walk around to my side.

I get in the car and drive to the precinct. Once we arrived we get out and I lock the car.

Trix walks beside me into the precinct and we go sit in my office. I give her the I pad as I read through paperwork that was left for me to sign.

As the hours passed I eventually finish the paperwork and hand it over to Marcus. It's slowly getting dark.

I get my stuff and trixie and I go back to mine and lucifers place. It's around 8:00pm by the time we get to the apartment after we went and bought stuff for dinner.

I walk in with the shopping bags and sit them on the kitchen bunker and trixie helps me unpack them.

As I put the oven onto heat for our pizza and garlic bread I put the tv on and trixie sits on the couch.

I go to the bedroom and take off my heels as my phone dings. I check it to see it's just chloe saying she'll be over soon.

I go into the kitchen after putting slippers on and cook the pizza and garlic bread. Just as I'm plating up the food Chloe walks in.

I smile and hand her a plate along with trixie. After we were done Chloe and trixie headed away home because trixie had school tomorrow.

I asked Chloe before she left if she had seen lucifer and she said "not since you were with us at the scene".

I nodded and we said our goodbyes. I went back into the apartment and called maze.

M~hey blairy what's up

B~ hey do you know where lucifer is?

M~ nope I haven't heard from him why?

B~ I haven't seen him since I was at the crime scene and neither has Chloe

M~ wait what?!

B~ I know tell me about it I'm worried

M~ I'll try figure out where he is

B~ thank you  Mazikeen

M~ no problem, bye Blair

B~ bye

After I hang up the phone I go for a quick bath then get into my pyjamas. I lay on the bed looking through the photos of lucifer and I.

I go lock the door, turn everything off and get back into bed. I lay looking at the photos I stuck in a frame on my bedside cabinet.

I place a hand on my bump and realised that it had been such a long day as I smile sadly and a lone tear rolls softly down my cheek as I fall asleep thinking bout how simple it was back then.
