My heart began to beat fast when I realized, that the man at the door was David. While everyone was focused on the door I texted Cassie.
Me: Don't think bad of me but I may have done something bad.
Cassie: what did you do? 😒
Me: I may have gotten drunk and slept with Jason cousin and dipped when I woke up.😰
Cassie: Please tell me your joking.😡
Me: No😰
We stop texting because by then David had made it to the table, he took one look at me then sat down in the seat next to me. "So what did I miss," David asked as he looked around the table. While we ate and shared stories I still felt uncomfortable, it was the fear of being called out or anything, but the fact that he seemed to completely forget who I was. Other then the passing glance earlier, he didn't seem to acknowledge what happen last night. We had just finished eating when David lean in and whisper something in my ear, "you know you look more beautiful, than you did last night." I nearly dropped my glass, when I look over at him he was back to pretending he didn't know me. "So what do you two do for a living," asked Jason's mother. " I am a music teacher at St. James middle school, Bri is a Nurse at New James Hospital," Cassie answered. "I was wondering this, why didn't you bring your family on the trip with you," asked Jason's auntie. I had the strange feeling that Cassie was being double teamed by these to women. "Brianna is my only family, we grew up in an orphanage," Cassie said as she began to text under the table.Cassie: I feel like they are double teaming me.😡
Me: You're doing 👌🏽 just don't lose your temper. 😁
Cassie:I think he like you.😊I paused to catch-up with the conversation, I was not good at texting and keeping a conversation like Cassie. When I look up they were talking about the fact that we have a strong bond that didn't fade when we grew up.
Me: who?
Cassie: David, when ever he thinks you're not paying attention he looks at you.
Me:No he doesn't,he is constantly pretending not to know me.
Cassie:My sweet naive BFF, he is doing a good job at it but not good enough for these 👀.
I nearly gave away I was texting when the waitress taking away my plate made me jump. From the corner of my eyes I saw David trying to hold back a laugh. As everyone finished up and prepare to go on with their plans Cassie grabbed my arm, and told everyone that we we're heading to the pool. One hour later
It turned out that my swimsuit was in Cassie suit case so I had to go there and get it. When I made it there Cassie had already put on her swimsuit, her swimsuit was a red bikini she bought in a swimsuit catalog the week before the trip.
"Has Jason seen your swimsuit because I am sure he will have an opinion about it," I said as I walk in. "No and if he not going to swim with me he should have no opinion," she said as she began digging through her suitcase. "But everyone is not like you mis conservative, who pick out your swimsuit a nun," she said as she pulled out my swimsuit.
I rolled my eyes and got dressed in her bathroom, "where is Jason anyway?" I examined my outfit in the mirror to see if anything was in the right place. "His mom was making that I disapprove of your choices look, when we left breakfast." We left and headed for the adult pool area on the ship.
Cassie went to the pool bar and dragged me along with her, "so, you got drunk, slept with my boyfriend's cousin, and the hopped out the window like a teenager. Are you really the same girl that snapped at Malik when he got so drunk he flirted with me?" I shook my head and drunk my virgin strawberry daiquiri, out of the corner of my eye I saw Malik in the hot tub with his girlfriend. "Can we go somewhere else," I asked as the couple began kissing. Cassie saw them and rolled her eyes, "No, you just had mind blowing sex with a good looking guy, Malik should look like yesterday garbage to you." "Well then, shouldn't we move because it smells bad and we need fresh air," I tried but she wasn't falling for it. But she did move and went to relax in the pool, while I was swimming around I felt like some eye were on me when I looked behind me I saw no one. I went over to the bar and someone sat next to me I turned around to see David, "One mimosa and Virgin strawberry daiquiri for the lady."
