I sat in my doctor's office as he asked questions about my pregnancy, he was being very diligent with his questions leaving nothing to chance. "Do you know of any family history of diseases, " she asked. When she asked that I cringed, " I am sorry I am a foster kid I have no clue if my family had a history of diseases or anything." My doctor looked at me with concern, "I understand but it would be good to know if your family had a condition for the baby's sake." my doctor then look through my file, " Maybe you should look into it you could carry the trait for the disease and could pass it down to your child without knowing."
