epilogue
“Ash, where are you going?!” Kolton yelled at me as we split ways. Well I should probably inform you on what actually happened because otherwise I would be leaving you in the dark and you wouldn’t want that now would you. I was currently on the run from a certain cop who remembered me from all those years ago and then again recently- about 10 minutes ago- found me in the middle of the alley beating up some old dude. Yep, I still fight as the Black Dragon but I still haven’t given my identity away because it’s still pretty harsh to be a girl in these parts; fighter or not.
It’s been 6 years and Kolton and I are still together which is pretty impressive for me seeing as I used to sleep around a bit before I met Kolton as you would all know. Well actually you wouldn’t because I never described much of my life before I had to move and met Kolton as well as my Dad.
Speaking of my dad, or parents, Dad is doing whatever he’s been doing for the past however many years earning a lot of money that it surprises even me and I earn a lot. I’m making a good two grand every time I go to the alley for just one fight so I don’t have to go very often and Kolton is currently studying medicine in university while I am studying science. What I want to do I have no idea but science was the only thing I succeeded in and got good enough grades in, well except for art and P.E.
“I’m running away dumbass!” I yelled back to Kolton and he seemed to hear because he flashed a thumb up and continued running whatever was he was headed.
I looked ahead at where I was going and pushed myself so that I could outrun her soon and get back to Kolton’s car. He still has the BMW but he’s selling it and opting for the Bugatti while I bought myself a Lamborghini and boy does it run nicely. Who knew getting rid of mum would end with me being able to buy such nice things that actually work.
Oh if you were wondering- yes I did buy that phone I always wanted and I still love it although Kolton thinks I love my phone too much he has to realise I was deprived of a phone when I always wanted one. I still have my music player thing that Kolton called ‘medieval’. I still remember the good old days when we hated each other but then we fell in love and I couldn’t imagine my life without him.
Well actually I don’t think he could live without me either, I know that because he proposed only a few weeks ago and it was an amazing night full of chocolate ice-cream and knives.
As I kept running, I managed to turn a wrong way and get myself in a little tricky situation considering I just ran into a dead end. Slowly turning around I made sure I had my trusty little knife from Nate in my back pocket and sure enough, it was there. I looked up to see the familiar brunette from years ago when I managed to run into the law which included her in her stupid cop car.
“Been a while hasn’t it” She smirked in my direction as she slowly walked forwards and called backup on her little walkie-talkie thing.
“Hasn’t been long enough” I grunted in response and kept a defensive position knowing that I could easily take her and her team on. I managed to bring down almost half my gang by myself in my kitchen while I was getting ice-cream for Kolton.
“Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way” She said easily as if either way I chose she would feel comfortable with controlling. Well sorry to burst her bubble but If I fought her then she wouldn’t even live for 2 minutes. She’s what I call an easy target, they think they’re tough then I go and prove them wrong.
“I would prefer you forget all this and I could go home free” I shrugged innocently even though we both knew I was the complete opposite of that.
“Not gonna happen Hun. You participated in underage drinking, smoking, and just now, street fighting” She counted off on her fingers. Well I did drink but I never smoked. They only reason she thought I did was because she saw me as some dumb teenage party.
“How about we pretend that I fought you but you held your ground and then I ran away so I get to go and you look like a hero in all your friends eyes” I bargained because I didn’t really want to go to jail for beating up a cop even thought it would be the smart idea right now if I wanted to go into science.
Just as I was about to beat her up and run, her team decided to grace us with their presence giving me no opportunity to get away. Well there goes that idea.
As I looked around I realised there had to be at least 13 cops all standing around her and I know if I tried to get out of it they would certainly call even more back up and I would probably land my ass in jail for lifetime; not a very good thing.
“Like I said the first time; easy way or hard way?” She asked. And that’s how I got myself into jail. Well luckily Kolton was there to bail me out but Kolton being Kolton got to laugh about it for a very long time.

Life for us turned out great and even though I had a criminal record I made it pretty well in art instead of science. Don’t get me wrong, I really wanted to go into science but no job that I would go into would ever consider letting me into their property let alone job role. Instead I opted for a career in art and now have my own studio right here in the city of Sydney and I must say it’s going rather well at the moment; so well that I had a pretty much broke mother come and beg for a job in my gallery but I turned her down instantly because not only was she a horrible money-sucking slut but she had art that was just too boring and distasteful for my liking.
Scarlet and Damien decided to move over here to Sydney and they both are working pretty hard in their jobs so that they can stay in the house that’s only a few doors down from ours. Yes they stayed together as well all those years and not once did Antonio ever try to intercept in their relationship, from the rumours I’ve heard he ended up with Sophie- the queen bee of my old high school- and he managed to knock her up like the stupid prick he was but they stayed together. But that’s only what I’ve heard, I should really check up on them.
Adrien -Kolton’s half-brother- can still be an annoying little prick but he’s become a good friend of mine and he and Kolton are quite close after I told him what I did to his father. He still sleeps around with girls and spends whatever other time working on his bartending at the local bar which a lot more women seem to go to which I find slightly strange but whatever floats their boat.
All I can really say is that it’s been a chaotic ride but while it’s had its ups and down, there is nothing about it that I would change because if I changed moving here I would continue my streak of getting expelled and I wouldn’t of ever ended up with Kolton unless it was fighting him which I highly doubt because he wasn’t good enough until I taught him how to move properly.
I’m going to go against the whole over and out thing because I know I have a lot more in life to do and ending it now wouldn’t be such a great decision so instead I’ll leave you with some wise words a bunch of kids taught me back in tenth grade; Don’t mess with Asha Black.
Hopefully that’ll keep you out of trouble.
