*Kolton and Asha's son's POV*

“Mum, Dad. I’m going out!” I yelled from the front door picking up my backpack.

“Bye kid.” Dad yelled from the study. I swear he likes his job too much. I could hear a palm hitting the back of a head and instantly knew it was mum slapping dad over the head, those 2 always seem to find a way to hit or tease one another constantly.

“Grow some man balls and say bye to your kid. He’s not going to be around forever.” She scolded and then I saw then round the corner and walk towards me in her usual attire which consisted of shorts, a black top and a knife tucked away in her side. Although it wasn’t obvious to most people, I could instantly tell because she had on her knife belt which meant other knives were stashed in her shorts.

“Bye sweetie.” Mum cooed and gave me a big hug while I stood there rather awkwardly and I kind of wanted her to let go because I wasn’t five anymore and I actually have a reputation unlike- nope wait, she has one just as bad as me.

“Just don’t go to the street fighting alleys otherwise you’ll end up with a wife that calls you an array of nicknames” Dad chimed as he strolled out of the study and slung an arm around her shoulders casually as if he did it on a daily basis; which he did.

“Naw, you’re just jealous that I can think of a better name then little dragon.” She teased with a smirk and wiggled her eyebrows at dad.

“Don’t even test me Ash.” He smirked back at her and squeezed her shoulders.

“He’s just jealous because I’m better at fighting than he is.” Mum grinned at me and the look of shock flashed across his eyes before he decided to argue against mum.

“You are not!” He said pointedly.

“Are too!” She laughed.

“Are not!”

“Yes I am Kolton Scomparsa. Remember when I beat your ass in the cafeteria in grade ten?” Mum smirked because she knew she was right but dad had his evil grin on. It was cute seeing them together for so long. They met when they were my age and have been together ever since.

“Remember when we were rolling around on the gym floor when you just came.” He grinned with a wink on the end.

“Dad, I don’t want to hear about you having sex on the gym floor!” I whined. I did not want to hear all their sexual stories about when they were younger because it’s disturbing. I can listen to them arguing over nicknames but never ever do I want to listen to them telling stories about them rolling around on the floor of a school gym.

“You were so not ready for this cocky mccockypants” Mum snickered and I couldn’t help but laugh at dads drilled in scowl from the nickname.

“yeah, laugh it up will you” Dad deadpanned with a scowl still evident in his face but that left as soon as mum’s eyes left his gaze and went to me.

“Ok, in all seriousness, have you done your homework? I don’t care if you don’t like doing it, you have to get a half decent job” Mum managed to always go on about how getting a good education was good for you and it gave you good jobs. She just didn’t want me to end up like her and I admired her for it because she couldn’t get many jobs seeing as she got arrested in her early twenties so she was stuck as a self-employed artist, she may be extremely successful and have multiple galleries all over the world from that but she wanted to go into science and use art as her hobby. Dad like the little bugger he is, ditched her and managed to not get caught by the cops when they were out together.
