"Oh my god it hurts!" She sobbed in Sam's arms as she got another contraction.

"I know baby, I'm sorry." He said rubbing her back.

"I don't want to do it! Can you do it for me?" She asked pitifully.

"If I could I would baby."

Susan and the girls came in running in.

"Oh girls you did so great!"

"Thank you mommy."

"I'm sorry I didn't make it to the end." Jessica said with her face buried into Sam's neck.

"You know, I love how every other woman in labor is smacking their husbands around right now, but Jessica just wants hers to hold her." Susan said laughing.

"He makes me feel better." She said as she smiled.

"I called my brother to take the girls into the waiting room Suze."

"Alright."

Jessica seized up as another contraction hit, digging her nails into him. He put pressure on her back as she cried on him. Dorothy walked in and shook her head at them.

"They're adorable aren't they Suze?"

"Mhm."

"They remind me of you and John." Dorothy said looking at Susan.

"He didn't want me anymore momma." Susan said tearing up as Dorothy hugged her.

"He's just heartbroken Suze."

Susan and John had lost their child in a car accident, after John pushed away and they separated a few weeks ago.

"Oh god Sam!" She screamed.

Her back was against his chest as she cried. He moved her face to his and kissed her deeply.

"Wheres the nurse?" She sobbed.

"Hold on we'll call." Dorothy said.

This was going to be a long night.

The nurses came in shortly after, giving Sam her epidural. She felt better, but it hadn't numbed her completely.
