Thirty-two

Jessica was cuddled up to Sam, almost asleep.
Susan and John were in the same position on the other couch.

"Jessica, I miss this." Susan said.

"Miss what?" She asked not even opening her eyes.

"I miss hanging out with you and the family."

"I'm the president of that club Suze."

"We should do a family outing or something." Sam said.

"Maybe after Christmas." John added.

"Sounds good to me- she's sleeping."  Sam said looking down at Jessica.

"I was wondering why she stopped talking." Susan said.

"Its been a tough week for her, I don't think she's actually had a good nights sleep."

"She needs to stop focusing on all of us."

"Jessie is our stressor and worrier. I don't stress because I always know she's doing enough for the both of us." Susan said.

"I think we need to give her a spa day or something when Waye gets bigger."

"Yeah maybe for her birthday."

The baby started crying from the bassinet and Jessica popped up. Sam set her on the couch and she laid back down as Sam went to get Waye.

"I think we're done having children." Sam said as he changed the baby's diaper.

"I was thinking one more for us." Susan said looking over at John.

"We'll see."

"Alright, it's late and I'm going to take these two upstairs." Sam said.

"Good night."
