Y/n = Your name
In Y/n's POV

The Altean princess stared at the two of us embracing one another with a blank face. Once realizing it, Lotor had stopped hugging me and stood up, regaining his posture.

"P-princess! I- Uh . . . It wasn't what it looked like. You see, Y/n and I were . . . childhood friends, and we were just catching up with one another." explained Lotor, muttering a couple more words under his breath. His face had a light pink tint to it . . . was he blushing?!

No way . . . Lotor has a thing for Allura! I decided to take a few deep breaths and get up as well.

"Hello, Princess Allura, and no, Lotor and I just hugged.

Allura just stared at me and then gave me and Lotor a warm smile. "Why wouldn't I let old friends catch up with one another? I just came to tell you two that dinner is ready. Wash up and come into the dining room,"

"Shall we?" asked the lavender man.

"We shall," I chuckled, walking towards the door with Lotor. He stopped and let me walk through first; what a gentleman! Heh.

After dinner, Lotor and I went our separate ways; him going to his room, and me going to my room . . . Er, Keith's old room. Nothing personal of his was left, only the mandatory things such as the bed, desk, and shelves. After about 5 minutes I got bored so I knocked on Lance's door.

"Hey Lance?"

"Come in!" I heard a muffled voice call back. The door to his room opened as I entered. He was currently putting on his facemask and cucumbers on his eyes.

"Was I . . . interrupting anything . . . ?" I asked as I watched the Cuban boy put on the mask.

"Nah, just taking care of my luscious skin~" winked the red paladin. "Why are you here, Y/n?"

"I was bored, and I wanted to talk to someone."

"What about Lotor?" he asked in a whiney mocking voice. "I thought you were like best friends with that weirdo,"

"He is not a weirdo!" I exclaimed, balling my hands into fists. I realized what I was doing, and I quickly cleared my throat and said, "I mean, Lotor is not weird in my opinion . . ."

"Look, if you think the guy's good or whatever, that's up to you. But I swear if he and Allura h-"

"What about him and Allura?" I ask, my heart starting to sink a bit.

"Ever-since they found out that they were both the chosen ones, Lotor's been a little more touchy with her than usual, and I don't like it one bit." explained Lance as he laid back in his bed.

"Do you think he has feelings for her?"

"I don't know, ask the guy himself. Maybe he's just like that because he had daddy issues . . ." pouted Lance, adverting his gaze.

"You're right, I will ask him."

"R-right now?"

" . . . Uh, hell no." I replied as my sweat dropped.

"Wait a tick . . . Do you . . . like Lotor?" asked Lance as he took off the cucumbers off of his eyes.

"Maybe . . . So what if I do?!"

"That's great! Maybe he can fall for you and then I might have a chance with Allura! At most, maybe we can become best friends~" said Lance with confidence.

"Him f-fall for m-me?" I squeaked as my eyes went wide. That would be wonderful . . . but that would never happen probably.

The next day came faster than I thought it would. When I woke up, a saw a pair of yellow and blue eyes across from me . . . and fangs.

"Good morning, Y/n, darling," said the voice.

Realizing who the voice belonged to, I screamed.

"Lotor, what the quiznak?!" I jumped out of bed and hit my head against the wall.

"Oh my, I didn't mean to scare you, Y/n, my sincerest apologies!" said Lotor as he helped me get up from my bed. "Are you okay?"

"Ugh, yeah, but why are you in my room?"

"Well, isn't this what friends do? Wake each other up?" smiled Lotor slightly as he tucked back a strand of loose hair behind his ear.

"I guess . . . But, usually when they're the opposite sex, it's because they're . . ." I stopped mid-sentence as I got lost in his majestic eyes.

"Because what, Y/n?"

"OH! Um . . . because they're close with each other . . . ?" I fibbed as I rubbed my head.

"Are we close with one another then?" asked Lotor with an innocent face plastered onto his.

"We only met just yesterday ever-since a decade ago . . . So, not yet."

"Oh . . ." replied the Galra-Altean half blood with a disappointed look on his face.

"Say, are you and Allura close?"

"I don't think we're that close."

"Do you like her?"

"Of course I do. Doesn't everyone on the ship?"

"I mean . . . like like her . . ."

"I don't think you should have the obligation to know that type of information right now. We're not . . . very close, are we, Miss Kogane?" snickered Lotor, pinching my cheek lightly, clearly teasing me.

"Oh very funny, Lotor!" I said sarcastically as I rubbed the spot where he pinched me.
