"PALADINS AND LOTOR! COME INTO THE CONTROL ROOM!" yelled Allura's slightly muffled voice from over the intercom.
I looked at Y/n and then she nodded at me, knowing I was needed with the paladins. Speed walking to the control room, I noticed everyone else was already there by the princess's side.
"Princess, if you don't mind me asking, why are we gathered here?" I asked as I let my hand out. From the corner of my eye, I could see strands of Y/n's h/c hair stick out from around the corner. My attention stayed on her for a moment before returning my gaze to Allura's beautiful blue eyes.
"I've gathered everyone here today because of a message we have from the Blade of Mormora. Kolivan wanted everyone aboard the ship to hear it." explained the princess as she turned around to signal to Coran to start the message.
"Excuse me, princess," spoke out Hunk.
"Yes, Hunk?"
"If Kolivan wants everyone to listen to it, wouldn't that include Y/n?" asked the yellow paladin as he shrugged.
"That's right. Y/n is still a valid part of this team," I said as my eyes widened a bit.
"Of course. She may join us as well. I'll go tell her over the intercom," replied Allura with a soft smile.
"There will be no need for that." I said and then turned around to face the doors. "Y/n, darling, I know you're eavesdropping on us, please come out now." I chuckled playfully.
Y/n then steps into the room with a f/c shirt on. She blushed ever so slightly before clearing her throat to stand beside, none other than, me.
"I saw you in the corner, you nosy little weblum," I tell the s/t hybrid as she flushes out of embarrassment.
"Yep . . ." whispered Y/n.

For the rest of the day, I could barely spend any time with Y/n because Allura and I spent many hours studying ancient Altean Alchemism in the castle's library. Just spending time or being the same room as the princess made my heart go crazy. Allura was very intelligent and beautiful . . . although, I doubt she would think the same as I do towards her.
"Lotor, about the white lion . . ."
"Yes, princess,"
"I'm terribly sorry you couldn't become one with it, but you attacked it so suddenly . . . May I ask why?" asked Allura as she turned her head to look at me.
"As a child growing up, my people always said "Victory or death". That was their motto-"
"But that doesn't mean it has to be your motto or way of life, Lotor. You can change that and become the emperor your father, Zarkon, could've never been."
My eyes widened as I turned my head to face her entirely. "You really think so, Allura?" I ask with watery eyes.
She placed her hand on mine. "I know so."
As every moment passed, I was falling more and more for the princess. And as each day passed that we worked together to find more about our Altean heritage, every moment I didn't spend time with Y/n, the more I forgot about the hybrid, and concentrated more on the princess.
It had been about a month ever since me and Y/n had hung out with one another because of my research. I wasn't sure of how she was doing mentally or physically, but Allura and I decided to take a break from it all to relax with everyone else on the ship.
I knocked on Y/n's door to see if she wanted to hang out by the pool or grab a bite.
"Y/n? Are you in there, darling? It's me, Lotor,"
As the door opened up, I saw a stressed out Y/n as her room was dark, and the only light that was in the room was coming from a screen. A screen that had a video game on it.
"Um . . . Y/n . . . Are you alright? You have bags under your eyes, dear," I asked her in a concerned manner.
"SHUSH. I just need to pass this one boss and then I can save the game for the day . . ." she explained to me as her fingers went to work with the controller that was practically glued to her hands.
"Um, how long have you been playing . . ." I searched around the room to find the DVD case. " . . . Persona 5?"
"Oh, about 96 hours . . . ish . . ." replied Y/n.
"4 days! Y/n (If you have a middle name) m/n Kogane! I will not let you kill all of your brian cells with this video game!" I scold her as I grab the controller out of her hands.
"But Lotor~! I was just about to beat Garuda's flying ass!" complained Y/n as she grabbed onto my legs.
"You can beat Garuda's behind after you wash up, young lady. It looks like you haven't slept or washed in days."
She took the controller from me. "That's because I haven't washed or slept in days." retorted the feisty girl.
"And why is that exactly?" I ask her, hand on my hip.
"Because I thought your whole research thing with the princess was only gonna take like a couple hours . . . not an entire month or whatever." said Y/n as she turned off the game system. "I started playing Persona 5 only a few days ago because I got bored out of my mind, and I've seen Lance and Pidge play this before so I got a few pointers from them. Every other day I would just hang out with someone else until you came back."
I looked at her with concerned eyes. "Y/n, I-"
"It's alright, Lotor. I know you want to learn more about your Altean heritage, and I don't want to the douchebag to stop you from gaining that knowledge." said Y/n as she placed her hand on my shoulder as she gave me one of her precious smiles.
"Thank you, Y/n. You don't understand how much I admire your gratitude towards me right now." I exclaimed as I hugged her in a warm embrace. "Oh, by the way, Allura and I have stopped our research for a while, so if you want to do something, just call out my name, and I'll come. Alright, Y/n?"
She nodded and smiled at me.
