In Y/n's POV

I walked outside of the room the Blade had given me and went into Keith's room. I was a part of the Blade of Mormora until today. Tomorrow was the day I was leaving the Blade, and joining Voltron.

"You're leaving the Blade?" Keith questioned me as his violet eyes sparkled violently.

"Yeah . . . You're so much more agile and have much better endurance than me, Keith. Besides, I could help Allura and Coran around the castle! The Blade of Mormora just isn't the place for me anymore." I explained slowly.

Keith just looked at me with a sad glow in his eyes; his entire aura in general.

"Don't worry, I'll tell you about what's up with Lance, and keep you updated with Shiro." I chuckled as I lightly punched him on the shoulder.

"Really? Thanks! You're the best sister anyone could ask for!" exclaimed the halfblood as he kissed me on the forehead with a brotherly passion.

But what happened the next day would change my life forever.

Leaving the Blade behind and entering the Castle of Lions, it felt much more . . . friendly. Sure, Keith was a great guy to hang around, but Kolivan is just so tall and scary, he freaked the quiznak out of me. When I entered the castle, I was attacked with a huge hug from Lance.

"Y/n!! You're here! . . . and wearing normal clothes?" said Lance as we both got up from the ground.

"Yeah . . . Guess who's joining Voltron~!"

"Oh my gosh, YES!" exclaimed the red paladin as he tackled me in a hug again.

I said hi to everyone else on the ship and we all laughed and hugged. A lot. There were a lot of hugs. And I LOVED it.

Well . . . everyone except ONE person.

I had to use the bathroom, but I didn't know where it was. The castle was like a maze if you didn't know your way around the place. After about 10 minutes of trying to hold my piss in and finding the bathroom, I did. It had a female and male alien print on it, and I knocked on the metal to make sure it wasn't in use. When I was about to walk in, a figure walked out. A figure . . . that had no shirt on.

"Oh . . . Um . . . H-hi . . ." I mumbled out as I covered my face with my hand.

He only had a towel wrapped around his waist and the rest of his lavender skin was exposed. His long, silky, white hair was hanging by his sides and a bit of water dripped at the tips. His voice had an accent to it . . . was it an English one?

"Excuse me, miss. Would you mind stepping aside please? I'd like to get some clothes on." said the figure.

I quickly nodded about a dozen times as I moved out of the purple man's way. For some reason, he seemed very familiar to me . . .

I saw Lance walking around the corner and called out to him. "Lance!"

"Hm? Yeah?" replied the Cuban boy. "What's up?

"Who was that?"

"Who's what?"

"I saw a purple dude with white hair-"

"Oh, HIM. That's Prince Lotor. He's some dude who's getting pretty close with Allura, and I don't like it one bit! I bet he's just trying to break hearts and play games . . ." Lance went on and on about Lotor.

"L-Lotor? As in . . . the son of Zarkon, Prince Lotor?!" I hollered at the red paladin.

"Well, duh. I don't know how many other Lotor's there are out in space." said Lance with a bored expression on his face. "Why?"

"Oh, no reason." I replied. My eyes went wide as I scurried to the bathroom.

After using the bathroom, I decided to confront Lotor . . . and also hoping he was dressed. Knocking on his door, it opened, revealing his room and Lotor, himself.

"Hello?" he asked.

"Lotor- um, your highness . . . Um, I don't know if you remember me, but I know you."

"Lotor is fine . . . and what do you mean? Am I supposed to know you as well then?" he asked with his eyebrow cocked.

"Of course you don't remember me. It was about a decade ago . . ." I said quietly under my breath, hoping he wouldn't hear.

"Miss, I-"

"YOU NEVER QUIZNAKING WROTE BACK TO ME EVER FOR 10 YEARS."

"10 years . . ." His eyes suddenly sparked. "Y/n?" he asked.

"Oh, so now you remember?" I sniffled a bit, holding back my tears.

A moment later, I felt a strong pair of arms around me. When I turned to look at Lotor, I realized he was hugging me from the back. Warm puddles for water dripped onto my exposed skin; I was crying.

"I'm sorry I never wrote back to you over those 10 years, Y/n . . . My father took that journal away the second he saw it. He didn't allow me to talk to the outside world at all. All he cared about was conquering." explained the prince.

He let go of me afterwards. I missed the warmth already. We sat on the bed that was set in the corner of the room.

"So that's why . . . Damn your father."

"Well, he's dead." Lotor said bluntly.

"Did he die of old age finally?"

"No, I killed him."

My eyes went wide. WHAT THE QUIZNAK. WHY DOESN'T KEITH EVER INFORM ME OM THESE KINDS OF THINGS?! "Oh, um . . . I'm sorry for your loss?"

"I was the one who killed him. There's nothing to be sorry about. Zarkon was a terrible king." said Lotor as he brushed a few loose pieces of hair back behind his ear.

"True," I replied.

"So, did you miss me?" asked Lotor with a smug smirk on his face.

"Ew, gross, why would I miss you?" I said sarcastically as I stuck my tongue out. "In all seriousness, yeah, I missed you . . . A lot."

"How sweet of you, Miss . . ."

"-Kogane. I'm Keith's sister by the way."

"Oh? So I'm assuming you're half Galra and half human as well."

I nodded.

We chuckled and hugged once more.

"I really did miss you, Lotor. Even if we only met once." I smiled as I hugged the lavender man.

The door to Lotor's room opened up, revealing Allura. She stared at me and Lotor hugging with wide eyes.
