At Headquarters
"Um... I'm not the only one who heard that, right?" Rod pointed out when they cut off communication.
"This time? I don't understand. Something like this hasn't happened, has it." Speedy asked looking to Rod.
Bea stood behind them, her face scrunched up in thought.
"Not that I know of. And we're always together, so there's no way something like that could happen and I not know." Rod replied.
"So, what could she have meant by that?" Speedy wondered.
Bea's eyes widened in realization.
"Penny's dream!" Bea exclaimed getting the attention of the other two birds. She turned to them.
"You said Penny had a nightmare last night and that it had to do with Swift. Penny told Swift to be very careful during this mission. She became really worried when she found out where he was flying over. And she took off with Brody before getting commands to go and help Swift. This is probably the exact thing that happened in her nightmare." Bea explained worriedly.
"You're most likely right Bea. This is probably exactly what happened in Penny's nightmare. She already knows what's going to happen... or might happen." Speedy said, looking at the cadets through the screen.
"And... judging by what she said..." Speedy frowned, unable to finish his sentence.
"...Swift... didn't make it." Bea said sadly.
There was a pause of silence among the birds.
"But... I have complete faith in Penny. I know she won't let whatever happened to Swift in her dream, happen to him for real." Speedy stated. "All we can do now, is wait for a call from them, and hope for the best."
"I wish there was something I could do to help." Rod said, feeling useless. His best friend was in trouble and there was nothing he could do to help.
"Well, you might not be able to help there, Rod. But you can help here." Speedy said heading over to the holotable.
Bea knew where Speedy was heading with this and searched for what she knew he wanted her to find. The map of the island popped up, showing a purple blinking dot.
"You'll have to finish Swift's mission and find Shirley. She was our emergency before, well... our... emergency." he told Rod, looking between the rooster and the map. "And from the looks of it, it seems the acorn flyer landed somewhere along the path to Big Bear Cave. Rod, get out there and see if you can find Shirley and the plane. Make sure she's ok and bring her and the flyer back to headquarters."
"You got it Speedy! Let's cock-a-doodle do this! Time to earn my wings!" Rod exclaimed, heading to his elevator where he got into his gear, landed in the garage, and took off on his Road-wing.
"I really hope Penny and Brody get to Swift in time." Bea said, worriedly.
"Me too, Bea. Me too." Speedy replied, wrapping his wings around her to comfort her.
