Stan's POV
Nghh... ah shit, what day is it?
I rolled over to the side of my bed, desperately patting around for my my phone before turning the obnoxious alarm off. Rick Astley isn't exactly my idea of a pleasant way to start the day, but at least it gets me out of bed.
"That's right, school." I muttered under my breath. I slowly emerged from my bed, groaning and rubbing my eyes. How much did I drink last night?
Ding!
I haven't even had a chance to get ready and someone's already texting me. It's probably Kyle-, yep, as per usual.
SBF: im ready to go. we still walking together?
Me: wtf i just woke up
Me: but yea
SBF: ok ill be over soon
*************
"Have fun today Stan! Don't hang out with any of of the naughty k-"
"Yes, yes, whatever. Kyle's here Mom I gotta go"
"Don't get lai-"
SLAM
"Hey dude."
"Hey! you exited?" Kyle asked, swaying side to side with a beige satchel over his right shoulder; no attempts are made to suppress the goofy smile plastered across his pale face.
Yawning, I mumbled out a half-assed response. "I guess, but why does school have to start so damn early!" We began to make conversation as Kyle and I started walking, carrying on down the street and out of the neighbourhood.
"Hey fellas!" Kyle and I turned in unison to face the familiar voice behind us; it's Butters, bundled up in layers of warm coats and holding a small lunch bag out infront of him.
"Oh! Hey Butters, you don't usually walk. Why aren't your parents dropping you off?" Kyle asked.
Butters, who has yet to mentally mature past the age of eight started stuttering. "My dad said I'm a big boy now and that I should start walking to school myself-, but-"
"You can come walk with us, we're not too far away from the school anyway." I offered indifferently, shrugging and smiling innocently to the blonde boy.
"Awe thanks fellas!"
The newly three of us continued on our way, with Butters taking every moment he can to explain how excited he is for freshman year. Kyle seemed interested, but I've heard enough high school horror stories from Shelley to not get my hopes up. She quotes, "It's just sex, alcohol and fake assholes."
My dissociating gaze is brought to a halt by the sight of the enterance to South Park High right in front of our eyes. "This school s-sure is a lot bigger than our old middle school..." Butter's previous excitement has been replaced by fear; he's now quivering behind Kyle and I.
"C'mon Butters, let's go in!" Kyle walked ahead of us, entering the school littered with freshman. I can recognize most of them, but a few have seemed to have had real glo-ups. Damn, is that Bebe?
"Kyle!Stan!" Another voice called out; it's Kenny, leaning against one of the lockers not too far away from where Token and Clyde are conversing.
"Hey Kenny!" Kyle and I replied in almost perfect unison. Butters is still shaking whilst on the verge of tears near the enterance. Eh, he'll get over it soon.
"Where's Cartman?" I asked, the faggot we somehow still hangout with absent from our presence.
Just in time for absolutely nothing, the aforementioned fatass made his entrance.
"Wus up you guys!" Cartman's every so generously graced us with his presence and he's feeling as cocky as ever it seems.
"Fuck off fatass, we're in highschool now! You can go and find a new set of friends to hang out with, asshole" Kyle replied, his eyebrows furrowed together in rage.
"Don't be a triggared jew Kahl, nobody likes a triggared ranga!" Cartman placed his hand on Kyle's shoulder, acting all 'sympathetic'. He's got about five seconds to remove that hand before Kyle sends him to the nurses office with a broken thumb.
"Let's go, we need to check out our timetables." I interrupted, pulling Kyle towards the office. Unfortunately, Cartman followed us.
Butters and Kenny didn't however, they probably went off to talk to Token or something... probably.
The three of us entered the office, grabed timetables for our respective classes and then leaving to explore the school some more.
We came here for a few days last year to do an orientation, and while we were there Kenny told us he found a great potential hang out spot to spend the breaks. It was out on the far end of the oval underneath these big trees. The only thing that separates the school from the outside town is a fence, which Cartman said would make it easy to skip school, because we could just jump it. I don't know why he said "we" though, considering his mere relative presence to the fence would split it in two.
"Ugh, we have an assembly first!" Cartman groaned, propping himself against the lockers while scanning through his timetable.
"After that I have a double of chemistry, then recess." Kyle's also reading through his own sheet of paper.
Recess? In high school? sounds like something butters would say.
"A double! On the first day of skool?" Cartman laughed. "It's becuz' of ur nerd classes huh?"
Kyle shoots him a dirty glare.
"I'm pretty sure we share a bunch of classes, like the electives or something." I added, joining in on this dry conversation.
I wonder if we'll have any new students this year? Barely anyone joins our grade. The last 'new' students we got were probably Nicole or whoever.
*RING*
Sigh, assembly then World History....
