Chapter 9

Harmony POV (3 months later)

"You ready for your 18th birthday baby mamma."Jamiya cheered walking out of the school building with me.

"I guess but its not much I can do with me being pregnant and all."

"Girl you just can't smoke and drink."She sighed."You can do that for 9 months."She giggled.
"You done it for 4 months already."

We got in my car and I plugged my phone up. "What you wanna do tho?"She asked. "I'm thinking a party like a pool party."I nodded."Imma get Quan to rent out someplace and we gone throw a party."

"Okok that sounds good."Jamiya agreed. I drove on to the highway and head home.

After dropping Jamiya off I got home. Quan was sleep on the couch with the tv still on. I turned the tv off and went upstairs to start on my homework.

I have to do this project with some girl in my health class. To make this easier I'm doing half and she's doing the other half.

I know they may say that you shouldn't do it like that but oh well. Me and DaeDae turn in our handwritten part of our baby project tomorrow and still haven't finished.

After I was finished with most of my work I got hungry so I went to the kitchen to get a snack.

"Hey babe."I felt Quan arms wrap around my waist and he put his hands on my belly."Hey.."I replied grabbing my sandwich and chips.

I walked to the couch and sat down turning the tv on to love and hip hop.

"So...what you wanna do for your birthday?"He asked sitting beside me."Um well me and Jamiya was thinking you could rent out some pool and I would have a pool party."I said.

"Ok I can do that."He smiled and kissed me on the cheek.

"Oh and I was going to invite some people from school so there will be a list with names too."

"Can I invite some of my peoples too?"He asked. "Yeah just don't have none of that bs going on...its my birthday.Okay?"

"Yeah no bs."He nodded. He's been a little nicer these past three months. His mom's cancer keeps going up and down. One week she's fine then the next shes not. He told me he's been going to some therapist but I don't know if he lying or not.

He still has hit me more than a few times. I tried to leave but daedae was out of town last month and I couldn't go to Jamiya.

After about an hour of sitting there with him. He fell asleep again. I left a note telling him I went to walmart to grab some things.

While I was in walmart I ran into DaeDae. "Hey baby mama."He said hugging me."Hey DaeDae." I smiled.

"You gone need any help?"He asked. "No not really...I only came for a few little things but thanks."I smiled."No problem."

Before he walked off I had to ask him was he coming to my party next weekend. "Wait DaeDae you wanna come to my pool party next weekend?"

"Yeah I would love to."He smiled.
"See ya."He said. "Bye."

....

I walked back in the house to see Quan walking back downstairs.

"Where have you been?"

"The store."I replied placing the bags on the counter.

"For a whole hour."

"Quan can you just leave me alone?"I sighed."I don't have time for your bs.."

I heated up some leftover meatloaf and mac & cheese and went upstairs to eat.
