Chapter 10

Harmony POV

Finally it was saturday. I can't wait to get my party on.

I got out of bed and smelled some food being cooked so I decided to get a shower before I go eat.

After my shower I got out and put my robe on and slippers and headed down to the kitchen.

"Morning baby."Quan said placing our plates on the table.

"Good morning."I sat in front of my plate and ate. After we were done I went and got ready for today.

I put on my two pieced swim suit. My swim suit was pink and blue like cotton candy.

I didn't put on make up because I'm going to be in the water. I put some sweat pants on and and white t-shirt. I paired that with some black sandals and put on some gold hoops.

When I was done Quan was already downstairs dressed watching tv. "I'm ready."I said walking to the living room.

"It's bout time."He jokingly said grabbing his keys. After he locked the door we got in the car and headed to this nice hotel. It had three outside pools and two inside pools. There was a gym too. Quan rented out the three outside pools and the first and second floor. He was going to rent out the whole building but I told him no. That's too much.

We walked to the pool and it was decorated pretty nice. There were balloons and banners up with my name on it and the words happy birthday. There was also a table set aside for gifts.

People started to coming in around two and we got started partying. "Hey Jamiya."I said as I walked over to her. She placed a lot of gifts on the table.

"Hey bestie."She hugged me. "You're finally legal now."She cheered. I smiled from ear to ear. I was finally a grown woman.

"How does it feel?"She asked smiling. Nothing new I'm still kinda stuck with Quan and his behavior, I said to myself."It feels the same..I just got more freedom you know."She nodded.

We went to sit at a table and talk. I wanted so badly to tell her whats been going but I can't. I'm just at the point where I'm too scared to go get help.

"You want something to eat?" Quan came and asked. "Yeah I want a burger, corn, potato salad and some chicken."I said before he left to go get my food.

"Why is he here?"Jamiya said. I looked where she was looking and seen DaeDae waiting for the bouncer to let him in. He had brought some other friends from school with him too.

"Because I invited him."I said in a duh tone. Quan brought my food before going back to his friends.
"Is Quan ok with this?"She asked.

"Well this is My birthday party so it doesn't matter."I shrugged my shoulders. "I told him to behave any ways."

"Aww thanks for coming."I gave DaeDae a quick hug after he sat my gifts down the table. "No problem Harmony...I told I would come."He smiled.

His friends called him over to the pool and I went to go finish eating. I was watching the people in the pool having fun.

Jamiya was flirting with some boy in the pool. People were dancing, the dj had everyone turnt.

DaeDae was coming out the pool with the water dripping down his chocolate body. He looked exactly like those people out of movies and I couldn't stop staring until Quan came up.

"You having fun?"He kissed my cheek before grabbing my hand. "Yeah."I said looking at him. "This is really beautiful...thanks." I said giving him a kiss.

"You think its time for the cake and Ice cream?"He asked.

"You got that too."I sighed."Are they going to sang happy birthday,"I whined. I'm too old for that.

"No..if you don't want that."I shook my head. Quan nodded towards the dj.

"Ok guys and ladies there is now cake and ice cream available so get out the water, dry off and come get some!"He announced.

"I only want ice cream."I told Quan before he went to get it.

It was now 7 and people who didn't sign that they wanted a room left and everybody else got their keys and went up to their rooms. Quan had some dudes take my gifts to the house and we went up to our room.

"Hey Harmony I gotta go handle some business at the trap and get ready for tomorrow."Quan said as I walked to the bathroom.

"Really...You know what just go I don't even care."I rolled my eyes and grabbed my robe and under clothes.

"Don't get an attitude or be mad at me."He said walking towards me. "You being ungrateful. I got this all for you so you'll be happy and you still not."He said a little louder.

"Fuck you Quan...I hate this...I hate you...I hate all of it Quan. I'm tired of your shit!"I yelled.
I felt a sting on my left cheek.

"Hurry up and get in the bed I'll be back in the morning to get you."He said walking to the door. "Don't leave this room there's only one key."He walked out the door.

I hate him. I hate him. I hate him!

After I got my shower I sat in the bed and cried and cried. How did my life become so fucked up? How come my parents left me? I hate them too.

My phone dinged and I looked at my screen. It was a message from DaeDae.

Hey you good?

Me: No

You want me to come over?

Me: room B245

I heard knocking and went to the door. I checked the peephole before opening the door. When DaeDae came in I fell into his arms crying my heart out.

He closed the door and we walked over to the bed. And I cried some more until I couldn't.When I was done I noticed his shirt was wet from tears.

"I'm sorry."I giggled sitting up off of him. "Nah it's ok."He said wiping a tear off of my cheek.

"You wanna talk about it?"He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. I begin to tell him what happened. Then I told him that Quan had hit me again. His jaw clenched and unclenched when I said that.

"Harmony,"he sighed. "You can't keep letting him do this to you. You're too beautiful to be treated like some random. He shouldn't putting his hands on any women either."I dropped my head down knowing he was right. I've got to go I can't stay in this mess anymore...I'm gonna be a mom in 5 month's...I've gotta be stronger.

Me and DaeDae just sat and watched the tv until 12 am. "I'm gonna head out now."DaeDae said getting up. I didn't want him to go but he couldn't be here whenever Quan decides to show back up. I walked with him to the door and hugged him."Thank you."I said.

"Why?"

"Don't act silly,"I giggled."You let me make a mess all over your shirt and you sat here and listened to me rant."

"That's what friends are for right?"He smiled. I smiled back and let him out the door. "You got to tell Jamiya, she's your best friend so she should know."I sighed and nodded. "I will. See you next week."I closed the door.
