Zayn

I play in my little ball pit, throwing them up and giggling as they come down and bounce all over me.

"Hi, baby."

I look up to see Daddy standing in the doorway. "Hi, Daddy!" I shriek as I jump up. "Are you going to come play with me!?"

He chuckles at me before nodding. "Sure, Prince. But you need to take a bath in a few minutes. Daddy is working the day shift and his mom is going to come watch you." He speaks in third person, pulling me deeper into my little space.

Daddy sits outside the ball pit, picking up a green ball. "Dats 'ou favorite color," I clap as I sit back down on my butt.

He nods with a proud smile. "It is, baby. Thank you for remembering," he tosses it at my tummy.

I giggle when it hits me. "I 'member everythin', Daddy!"

A hum leaves his lips as he picks up one of the stuffies that I set out to watch me. "Yeah, baby? Whatcha remember?"

"You's love you job, You's love green and red and purple."

He nods happily at me. "What else do I love more than anything?"

I smile as he holds my stuffed giraffe. "You's love Gary the giraffe!" I jump up.

He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me out of the ball pit. "But what do I love more than Gary?" He kisses my forehead.

"Um," I look up at him questioningly.

"It's you, silly boy!" He lifts me off the ground and I giggle as I wrap my arms and legs around him. "My little baby," he kisses my cheeks multiple times. "My baby boy," he kisses my nose this time.

"My Daddy," I hug him close to me as I lean my head on my arms, which rest upon his muscly shoulders.

Daddy chuckles as he rubs my back. "Yes, baby, I'm your Daddy. How about we lay on the couch before I leave, hmm? How does that sound?"

"So no bath?"

"Yes, you need a bath. But we'll get you a quick bath, good?"

"Hi," I mumble as Pattie walks into the house.

She looks at me with a weird glance before greeting me back. I go into the kitchen to get myself a cup of milk.

"What's wrong with Zayn?" I hear the older woman ask my boyfriend.

He sighs, "we got into a small argument, nothing to worry about. He's just rather emotional. Can you just keep his mind off of it until I get home?"

I walk into the living room to see her nod at his request. Justin looks at me before walking over and kissing my forehead.

"I love you, I'll be back later." He doesn't even wait for my reply before he walks out of the house.

I flop onto the couch with a heavy sigh. Pattie sits next to me and I lean my head on her shoulder. "Tell me all about it, Zee."

"We were laying down..."

"Do you want kids?" Justin asks into the silence.

I shake my head, "no. I'm a child enough myself," I laugh nervously.

"What about marriage?"

I shrug, "maybe."

"So you don't want any kind of grown up life style?"

I sit up abruptly. "What?"

"You just want to live in your little space, as a child for the rest of your life?"

I look him straight in the eyes to make sure he's serious. "Yes, actually. For now, I would like to. I don't want to think about the future." I cross my arms as I get up from the bed.

Justin averts my gaze. "I don't... I don't want that," he says just above a whisper.

I storm out of the room and down to the kitchen.

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry. He doesn't mean it, I'm sure," his mother kisses my head.

"He sure seemed like he did."
