The Nara brothers

Chapter 2

4 years Later

" The Rookie of the Year and Top Shinobi(?) is... Sasuke Uchiha." Shrieks and squeals erupt in the class, such an unusual sight/sound. Sasuke just stared at Iruka, indifferently, like it was normal, which is true. Ever since he started the academy, he excelled in everything that was taught to him, except teamwork, so it is not surprising at all.
"The Top Kunoichi of the Year is... Sakura Haruno." A few claps make themselves known, congratulating Sakura. "And, of course the deadlasts of the year are Shikamaru and Naruto Nara. Seriously, if you guys act like this in the real wo- *snore* *snore*" Iruka's lecture was being interrupt by loud snores coming from the twin. Iruka was beyond furious as the twin didn't even bother to stay awake during the announcement of the graduation exam's result, but he can't really do anything about it... wait a minute. Suddenly, an idea popped up in his head, " Hahaha, a message to Nara-sama would do." with that in his mind Iruka's face change from mad to complete evil as if he was trying to kill someone, not only that his KI(killer intent) started to leak out too. It was so terrifying that a few students started to faint.

Realizing what is happening to his student, Iruka quickly recover back to his usual self. He felt really guilty that he let that happen, but he also can't help but wonder why Shikamaru and Naruto could still sleep like nothing happened while the others start to faint even though the KI was directed to them. It bugged him, but he let slide for now.

" Alright, come back here again next week on Monday to know which team that you're gonna be in." After that said, kids rushed out of the classroom excited to tell their parents about their result on the exam, well except Sasuke, since you know... The Uchiha Massacre and all, Shikamaru, and Naruto. To say that they're excited is definitely not right, they're worried sick, even though they don't show it. They can't help but worry about what their parents told them this morning.

Earlier in the morning

After they finished preparing themselves for the important day as their Mom said, they came downstairs and immediately sensed the atmosphere of the environment. It was really thick with so much tension, much more than what they thought their parents could produce. There was a wave silent at that moment until Yoshino broke it. " Pass your exam today, and we'll tell you a secret." Then, everything return to normal again like any other day..... as much as it can.

Present Time

After walking Chouji to his house, the twin were left alone by themselves again. They then start to think about the morning's incident. First, they thought that it was something that their mom make up to motivate them, but they're start to think otherwise as their father also seem really tense at that time too.

" Nii-chan, so what do you think it's about?", said Naruto. " I'm not really sure; I've been thinking about this whole time, but I still have no idea." The two looked each other face, then the sky, and then both of them sigh. They continued their journey to home thinking the same thing, "What is it?".

Nara's Compound

When they arrived, they looked at their mother and father,expecting them to tell them, the twin, the secret. Knowing what their kids thinking, Yoshino and Shikaku did exact thing. " Follow us, we can't talk here." The kids followed them into a dark room where privacy seal was placed.
" It's time for you to learn the truth about the Kyuubi's Attack and your heritage.", said Yoshino. "What? The Kyuubi? And, aren't we Nara?", exclaimed Naruto. The twin were shocked, both started to think the possibilities of something might the truth of Kyuubi.

"What are there to know about the Kyuubi.... unless-" Yoshino interrupted Shikamaru by saying, " You're right, Shikamaru." as if she know what he is thinking. 

Shikaku then started to explain everything. " Kyuubi is a nothing but chakra, so destroying it is impossible, contradict to what people believe. The only way to tame it, is by sealing it into someone or something, but sealing it into an object is too risky, so we have no other choice but to seal it into a human being, making them a Jinchuriki, a human sacrifice. The only type of human that is most suited for the sealing operation is a new born baby because their chakra coil has yet to developed that would make their chakra be more adaptable with the beast's, and that is why Kyuubi was sealed inside you." 

" But, why does it has to be us?  I know for sure that there are other new born baby other than us at that time. Does it has to do with our heritage that you were talking about?", said Naruto, at this point he already he is not just a Nara, and he felt like his brother would agree with him also. " That is what we are going to tell you next. You guys were selected because you are a half Uzumaki. Uzumaki-s are well known for their red hair, skills in fuinjutsu and kenjutsu, chakra chains, strong life forces, and life span. They've lots of stamina and chakra. They're able to heal themselves very quickly and endure much stronger attacks than others that are not Uzumaki. Those abilities make them more suitable to hold tailed beast. You guys are best candidates.", explained Yoshino. 

" Wait, if we're half Uzumaki, does that mean Mom is a pure blood Uzumaki?" asked both Shikamaru and Naruto. "I am." As Yoshino said that, her henge dropped, revealing her red hair and violet eyes. " Why does she wear heng- uhh never mind, I know why. It might be because that she's one of the few Uzumaki that is left since no one really know about them anymore, but I wonder if we also have red, but I don't think so. "  Knowing what his sons thinking, Shikaku released their henge that were cast on them since they were new born to hide their heritage.

Naruto's long black hair turned silver while his black eyes turned light violet. Shikamaru haired is still black, but his eyes turned violet like his mother's and brother's.

Naruto was slightly surprise by his white hair, so give his parents a questioning look, silently asking why his hair is like that. Yoshino then tell him " While red hair is common in Uzumaki clan, not all of us have it. For example, your great grandfather also have white hair like you, although it's rare it's still happen." 

After that, they have dinner. During Dinner, they ask their parent about their looks. Whether they have to henge back or not? Shikaku told them they don't have to anymore since he already solve the problem with the council already.

 After dinner, the two decided to have a walk around Konoha's forest for a little while in order to set everything clear in their mind. Unknowingly, they walked straight into problems.
