"I'd rather die than to serve a Lannister." her voice shook with terror and dignity as she stood before Jaime Lannister, a man she once thought was a friend.
She trembled with fear as she looked into his dull eyes that held no emotion, waiting for her death to come. Her arms being held by two men in an armor, their grip causing her blood to circulate less. Her heart raced faster than a horse in battle as more fear seeped inside her bones, fear of never seeing her child again. Fear of never holding her so that she could sleep peacefully with the presence of her mother. She also feared that her daughter will grow up without a mother, without her. She feared her daughter will believe that she abandoned her, that she left her to fend for herself.
"I gave you a choice, Amira, one that no one rejects." He eyed the woman in front of him, admiring her bravery yet amused at her foolish words.
"There's always a first time for everything." She spat out, breathing heavily as her body felt weak from all the running she has done to lead them away from her daughter.
Her wound from her left knee throbbed as dirt resides in it.
Jaime chuckled lightly at her remark, walking towards her tauntingly. "You amaze me, Amira. you truly do."
She lowered her head as the two men lowered her before him to kneel. She knew she wouldn't last until tomorrow and that thought alone terrifies her. She was one to never fear death, knowing that everyone will die eventually. But now that she had a daughter to look after, she worries what will happen to her when she dies. Who will take care of her?
Her one and only trusted friend was the only one there to take care of her. A friend who was currently hiding with her child.
"I'd rather keep you than kill you." he said with amusement, studying her as she hissed slightly in pain as her knee rubbed on the forest ground.
He realized that she never bothered to struggle against the men, realizing that she knew she would die either way.
"But sadly, you know too much. You know what happens to those who know too much..." he sighed as he took out a long dagger from a black cloth, its design showing that it was a Lannister's. He threw the cloth on the floor as he bent down to her level and raised her chin, allowing her to look at his face which held a certain emotion she couldn't depict.
"They die." he finished, clenching his jaw slightly as he saw how pale and terrified she looked. He looked into her hazel eyes that he loved and saw hatred in them. He tried to savour the moment of staring at her, trying to capture her face before he did the task at hand.
"I'm sorry, Amira."
She gasped in pain as the blade pierced deeply inside her stomach causing blood to flow freely down her dress, staining the dark blue fabric. She gasped further as the blade twisted inside her, creating more agony. She felt as if her world was crashing down as the men let go of her, realizing that she was done for.
She continued to look at the man who she once trusted. Someone she would risk her life for. She never thought that he would betray her, wanting to kill her daughter for a prophecy that made no sense.
As she spoke her last words to him, she then thought of her daughter's safety as she collapsed to the ground, breathing her last breath in such gruesome forest.
He stood up quietly and slowly, looking away from the sight in disgust, not wanting to see the person he loved bleed effortlessly with her eyes becoming dull as life left her body.
Her words stuck with him, feeling hatred for himself for doing such act. He had to remind himself that he did the only thing he could to save and protect his family.
Her words kept on repeating in his head as he rode his horse back to her house to finish what he promised to do. It made him feel insane and disgusting.
Her words only drove him to who he is today.
"I hate you."
