Chapter 23

"Ms. (L/n). Is there a problem?" Yukio exclaimed. There was a slight smile on his lips. A smile of amusement. His eyes also twinkling with amusement. 

"I-uh-er... Um... No...sir?" My social anxiety was at its peak. My words were jumbled in my mouth.

Was I supposed to call him sir since he's a teacher? Or was I not supposed to because he's still a teen? Why would he call me out like that? I didn't know! Ugh, why is being an independent person so hard?!

"If that's the case, then please refrain from talking in my classroom when you're not called on." Any hint of amusement or humor in his voice was gone without a trace. 

I nodded frantically. Apparently, the class had started a while ago, while Yukio was talking. I, however, wasn't paying attention. This time through I was paying attention to Yukio's lessons. However whatever he was talking about in his lessons were... weird ... he wasn't talking about normal things teachers would talk about. He told of demons as if they were real. Everything was so complicated. Were we speaking of a theory that maybe demons existed? I'd have to speak with Shima about this if I wanted some help.

"If one comes in contact with a stronger demon, such as a troll, what would you do?" Yukio was instructing the class like an expert, He was better than any other teacher I've had. My face was twisted into a look of confusion. Luckily enough, Yukio didn't see my face of utter bafflement. 

The whole class continued like this.

Class ended, and not at all too soon. I don't think I could've handled any more of that nonsense they call the cram class.

I was walking to my dorm room, and apparently, I was supposed to have a roommate, though I dont know who. 

Shima was being a gentleman by walking me to my dorm building since he couldn't walk me to my dorm room. 

We arrived and I said goodbye. I walked into the doors of the massive building.
