~Harry's POV~
Wait. That's the only option the doctor told us we could do. He had already did everything we could, but the knife tore through a heart valve. So the doctor put her into a medically induced coma. We where waiting for her mom to fly in. She should be here later tonight or early tomorrow. I felt a hand go down on my shoulder.
"It's gonna be okay Harry." Peter said giving me a smile.
"Peter, how is any of this okay? She's laying in there with wires and tubes attached to her and I'm out here perfectly fine. It suppose to be ten twenty years in the future and the other way around. I should be dying, not her." I said rubbing my eyes.
"Harry there was nothing you could have done. He had you under control. Harry look at me." I didn't. He forcefully turned me around and put his hands on either side of my face. "Harry, this is not your fault." I couldn't hold it in anymore. I pulled Peter towards me and cried on his shoulder.
"I love her so much." I whispered.
"Where is she? Where is my baby girl?" I heard a woman ask. I turned around and say her mom at the desk.
"Janice!" I called out and she took in out appearances. Hazel was stretched out on three chairs sleeping. Peter was standing behind me with his hands on my shoulders. I was standing there bloodshot eyes from lack of sleep, and tear stained cheeks. She ran over to me and engulfed me into a hug.
"Oh Harry I'm so glad you're here." She said crying.
"Yeah, I'm not. I'd rather be at home with her. Not here." I said sniffling.
"Oh I wish we where any where else but here too, but at least we're all here as a family." She said smiling at me.
"Yeah I suppose you're right." I said hugging her.
"So what did they say happened?" she said sniffling.
"A uh a mugging went wrong." I choked out to make it seem real. Just then the doctor walked out.
"Family of Carrie Marshal?" Peter shook awake Hazel and she stood up. Her mom and I walked over with them.
"Yes I'm her mother and that's her brother and sister and this is her fiancé." Her mom said. I looked over at her eyes wide and she smiled at me.
"Well, I'm very sorry for what I'm going to tell you but she didn't make it. She had to much internal bleeding and her body just couldn't take all of the stress. The baby, obviously, didn't make it either." He said giving is a sympathetic smile.
"Baby? What baby?" I asked getting really scared.
"Mrs. Marshal was pregnant, about a month actually. You didn't know?" he said. I was in utter shock. I had lost my love and my baby in one night.
"No. He didn't know. None of us knew." Her mom said in a stone cold voice. She had her arm around me and my mouth was left ajar.
"Would you like to see her?" He asked us. I'm not sure who answered, I honestly couldn't give two shits at this point, but we started walking. We took a lot of turns and then we went down a lot of stairs. We got to a room with a metal table and a white sheet over a lump. The doctor pulled the sheet back and there she was. Cold and unmoving. Lifeless. Her skin was a pale blue and her cheeks where sunk in. This was the girl I loved, laying here dead and unmoving. Hazel was in Peter's arms sobbing. Her mom had tears rolling down her face. I just stood there. I couldn't cry. I couldn't speak. I was in shock.
I had lost the love of my life, and it was my fault.
