Chapter 34

Rey's POV:

   We walk into our rooms, I take out my hair and sit in the couch. Poe soon, comes by to sit by me, kissing me on the cheek.
      "So how's Rey?" He says with a kind smile look at me.

      "Not very good, my head still hurts." I say frowning.

      "Have you tried to take something for it?" He asks

      "I would but I don't think it would help." I say

      "Oh, okay, well I made some reservations at a really fancy restaurant two nights from now." Poe says looking at me.

      "That's amazing Poe you didn't have to do that, but why two nights from now." I ask confused

      "It's our one year anniversary." He says.

      "Oh yeah!" I say smiling at him.

      "Well do you want to go to the food court or just cook something here?" Poe asks

      "Let's just stay here." I say smiling sweetly.

      "But I want to cook." I say before Poe says anything.

      He nods smiling as I get up and walk over to the kitchen. I get out the ingredients to make, rising bread, and I take out cheese and Porg slices. I pour the ingredients in together and then add the hot water and it rises up, like usual. I put the cheese and the Porg inside the bread and call Poe over to the table. He smiles at the sandwich,
      "That's what smells so good!" He says sitting down.

     He takes the sandwich stuffing it into his mouth, as I take my time eating my sandwich enjoying it, and before we know it, it's eight o'clock. Poe goes back to his room to shower and get ready for bed, and I do the same. I shower, put on my pajamas, brush my teeth and then lay i bed next to Poe. He lays down next to me turning out the light, then wraps his arms around me, and falls asleep. I lay in the darkness, fighting not to fall asleep, not wanting to go back to the place of pain. It's hard not to fall asleep sitting in a comfortable warm spot, I catch myself almost falling asleep several times. Finally I carefully slip out of Poe's arms and walk to the sink to splash cold water on my face, I look in the mirror, my face looks tired and the bags under my eyes. Im not surprised though, I've done this before, when my parents first left me on Jakku. I would stay awake, not wanting to go to sleep and they come back and miss me. But after a while I lost hope, so I started making a life for myself, earning money so I could get food. They never came for me, sometimes if I even wonder if I had parents, maybe they were just a dream. I look down and walk out of the bathroom, back over to my room, and I take out my book, flipping through the glossary, looking for something interesting to read. It's all pretty much the same, so I start at the from of the book, I read for a while, feeling myself starting to doze off again, I get up and open the curtains looking outside. I can see the sun starting to peak up, and light begins, it's peaceful watching it come up. The. I realize our meeting with the senate is at five thirty. I hurry over to the clock and it reads 4:25, I hurry over to Poe shaking him awake.
"Poe! It's almost four thirty get up." I say

He mumbles and turns away from me.

"Poe come on!" I say pulling off the covers.

      "What time is it." He says his eyes still closed.

      "4:35." I say looking at my watch

      Poe sits up fats and looks at me,
"Really?!" He says in a worried voice.

"Ya So get your butt out of bed and Grey dressed!" I say as he rolls over and goes to his closet.

I go back to my room, picking out my outfit for today, looking more formal,wearing a fancy royal blue blouse and a tight medium length shirt, I go to the bathroom to put it on. I look in the mirror, the bags under my eyes are clearly visible, so I grab my makeup bag and apply some foundation and mascara. Once I'm satisfied, I brush my teeth and put my hair back in a tight bun. I walk out of the bathroom ready to go, today I'm waiting for Poe. I go and sit on the couch waiting for him. He comes out of the bathroom with his shirt unbuttoned, seeing his muscular chest, and his stomach rippled from the ab muscles. I soon realize I'm starting at it and I look away, but soon find his eyes. He smiles at me as he buttons up his shirt and then puts on a black jacket, he sits down next to me to put on his shoes, I realize I don't have shoes on, so I go back to my room and find a pair of black heels and put them on,
"You ready?" Poe says reaching out for my hand.

"Yup," I say grabbing his hand

"We'll have to get breakfast, when we're done but it may be lunch." He says as we walk down the hallway.

"Don't remind me." I say

We walk back through the garden, into the private door again. The man wasn't there, so we went to the lady sitting at the front desk.
"We are here to see the senate." Poe says

She looks up from her computer, and gives us a annoyed stare. Then glances back down and clicks at her computer.
"Poe and Rey?" She asks

"Yes." I say and she stands up.

"Follow me." She says as she walks down to a hallway. We soon come to a room, she opens the door and we step inside. There was a huge room with little floating offices, like the ones during the times of the galactic senate.
"This is nothing like the last meeting we had." I say

"No it's not, get ready to convince some non persuasive people." He says
