Chapter 22

Rey's POV:

*5 days later*

It's been 5 days since Poe left. I spend most of my days in keeping myself busy. Walking around the halls with BB-8 during the day, and spending time with him when he gets off from work in the evening, we go eat supper, but I haven't had much of an appetite because I've been so worried, but when we got done eating we would go back to his room and talk. One time I asked him why he wanted to work and he said I want to work for the good guys, for the Resistance. I can tell it makes him feel good even though he just does mechanic work. I let him even though it would be nice to have some human company during the day, but at least I have BB-8. At night I don't like to sleep because I don't want to miss anything. When I do I find myself talking to Ren. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, he updates me on the battle, and always seems so desperate for me to join him actually it's kinda funny.
      Today I'm sitting on the bench next to the landing platforms watching ships land and take off none of them have Poe on them. I start to stare off into space when BB-8 bumps into my leg. I sit up and look down at her.
"Hey buddy, what's up?" I say smiling.

"I got bored and wondered if you want to go walk around." She asks, Poe taught me how to understand BB unit language.

"Sure, you lead the way!" I say standing up.

We walk down and She takes me through a hallway I've never been before.
"Where are we going?" I ask walking into a unfamiliar place.

"Leia told me about this place, she said this is a Jedi meditation place. They made it for Kylo, and Luke but then Kylo turned to the dark side and Luke went into hiding." She says
I open the doors and the bright lights from outside hit my eyes. The windows have stained glass, and there are long benches on both sides of the room. I walk down the middle between the rows of benches and see three books sitting perfectly in line from each other. The books look old and beat up, I can tell these books are ancient and I could tell they were very important. One of the writing on the book says A Jedis meditation and chants I open the book but there's nothing inside. I realize these are Jedi scrips, I have to use the force. I hover my hand over the book and in my mind I say I need a meditation for relaxation. Nothing happens so I try again,
"I need a meditation for relaxation" I say out loud this time.

I open my eyes and there the book lays open on a page for relaxation

Let every moment be what it's going to be.
What is meant to be will come your way.
What not will fall away.

I do it again this time I say
"I need a meditation for answers" I say hovering my hand over the book again. I open my eyes and there's a different poem there.

Your mind will learn to answer most questions, if you can learn to relax and wait for an answer.

I try one last one so BB-8 doesn't get bored, taking a mental note to come back here later.
"What do I do." I ask repeating the steps I did before.

And there it was my answer.

      Do or do not there is no try.

      I nod closing the book but Turing back around to bow, wanting to be respectful.

      "Thank you for showing me this BB-8." I say as we start walking back towards the door.

      "Your welcome, I knew you'd like it." He said chirping as I open the door for her.

      "BB is there a library in here?" I ask.

      "Oh yes! It's a really big one filled with all sorts of books." BB-8 says

      "Can you take me there?" I say

      "Sure! Follow me." She says happily rolling along the path.

We get to another set of big doors and I open it and BB-8 rolls in beeping. I hear a lot of people say to BB-8
"Shhh" giving her a dirty look. I quickly call BB-8 over,
"You gotta be quiet buddy, or your gonna have to leave." I say hoping he would understand.

"Ok, I'll try." She says beeping softer.

She follows me around while I search for a book, I look through all of them, none of them are the books I want. I keep walking back not able to find the book that I want till I go to the back of the library, there I spot some old dusty books that get my attention. I walk over to them, and wipe the dust off of them. I read the names, the mind of a Jedi, the force,the parts of the lightsaber and how to build one, famous Jedi, the history of the Jedi and a Jedi's guide to meditation.
"Perfect." I say smiling, teaching to grab the book I want. Just then BB-8 bumps into me.
      "What?!" I say kneeling down by BB-8.

      "I just got called to the mechanics room, they need me to fix something." She said

      "Ok, you can go I probably won't be here for long so I'll meet you back at my room. Oh, and if you see Finn tell him hi for me." I say smiling as she rolls off.

       I stand back up, and grab the book and open it. There's many pictures and captions so I decide to check it out and read it in my room. I walk the huge book to the checkout table and set it down. The librarian looks up and sees me, I say
      "I would like to checkout this book."

      She finally stands up with a sigh and looks at me.
       "Do you have a card." She asks

       "No." I say confused

       "Name?" She says taking out a price of plastic and a marker.

      "Rey." I say

      "Age?" She asks

      "20" I say

      "Room number."

"102" I say wondering why she asking me so many questions.

"Okay step over here so I can take a picture." She says

I do as she wishes and she points the camera in front of my face and there's a big flash and I blink. She inserts the camera chip and the plastic card into a machine, and it pops out with all my information on it. She then scans the book and scans my card.
"Ok your all set, here's your card, and make sure to turn your book in by next month." She says

I smile and say
"Thank you," and walk back to my room carrying the book in my arms.

I get back to my room and sit on the floor Turing to the content page at the front of the book. Looking through the many different topics, I search for the one I want to start on. Hmm let's see mind reading, looking into the future, concentrating like a Jedi, meditation, there we go. I think to myself as I turn to that page. Starting from the beginning of how to sit properly, to how to focus, and get stronger with the force. First, I learn how to sit, you put one of your feet under your leg and the other one out in front. The call it the cross cross position. It takes me a few times but I finally get it. Then it says to meditate you have to feel the force around you, feel it from the core of this planet through the people, and all things in space. I close my eyes and try it, I feel like I'm in a whole different place, and in my mind I am, I see Kylo, he's talking to snoke. I hear him say
      "I will my master" and I watch him walk out of the room.

      I can feel the rage, and fear in him, as I quietly walk behind him.
      "You can stop trying to sneak behind me, I know your here." He says turning around to look at me.

      "What were you talking about to Snoke?" I ask

      "War stuff it's secret." He says

        "How's the war going by the way" I ask

     He gets a small grin on his face, when I said that and that's when I know it's not good.
