CHAPTER LIII.

Reia angrily deflected a few spells fired towards her from some Death Eater, before spinning on her feet quickly, ducking a Cruciatus Curse and turning to stand around the corner, avoiding the spells flying everywhere.

There were seven Death Eaters—more than Dumbledore had anticipated, clearly, because there were only three Order members here—Sirius, Dorcas and Reia.

Reia had never come to the city to defend muggles from a Death Eater raid; most of her missions had been in small villages or investigations—and they obliviated the muggles as they saw them notice the battle to avoid getting in trouble later on with the Ministry.

The Death Eaters, as always, were masked.

"Sirius!" She yelled, as he made a dangerous move and a red stream of flame whizzed by his ear, and the young man shut his eyes to avoid being blinded by the sparks and moved quickly as another violent ribbon of fire flew in his direction.

"I'm fine, Lupin!" He called back, shooting a spell at one of the Death Eaters, successfully knocking him unconscious, and then flicked his wrist and obliviated a muggle that had begun to stare at them.

"Well, don't make us worry," Dorcas muttered as she returned to join them from dueling one of the Death Eaters in the other side of the street.

With a quick glance, Reia realized that the Death Eater was unconscious—knocked out, with a bloody nose.

"You punched him?" Reia said incredulously, raising her eyebrows in part confusion, part awe and part disbelief.

"Well, I didn't have any other options—," Dorcas said defensively, wiping her hand on her robes quickly.

"You have a wand for a reason—," But Sirius was cut off as a Killing Curse flew dangerously close to Dorcas and he deflected it for her.

"Thanks," She muttered, before spinning on her feet to duel another one of the Death Eaters.

Quickly, Reia whirled around as she heard the crackling sound of fire flying in her direction, just in time to block the rope of flame that came soaring towards her, and meeting it with a jet of water, quickly extinguishing the fire.

As she shot a curse at the Death Eater, another one almost struck her head, but she flicked her wand over her shoulder and cast the shield charm, which quickly deflected the Unforgivable Curse that had come flying towards her, and shot another jinx in the direction of the first Death Eater before firing a curse at the second one—and it hit him right in the chest and he fell to the ground, knocked out.

She spun back to face the first Death Eater, wiping her sweat off of her brow quickly before ducking under a jinx that came flying at her shoulder, and casting one in return to the Death Eater.

Bravely striding towards the Death Eater to get a closer range, she continued casting and deflecting spells until one finally struck the Death Eater in his chest and he also collapsed, unconscious.

At almost the same time, the final Death Eater that Dorcas had been dueling also was knocked out—and the two women turned to each other, sharing a quick glance and a victorious grin.

"Right—well," Sirius said, brushing his hair out of his face and letting out a relieved sigh, "We better obliviate these muggles—and these Death Eaters—and get out of here."
