(Y/n) p/v:

At the hospital, they would not let me in to see Gajeel. They had finished healing him to the best of their abilities, but he'd lost a lot of blood. I was sitting outside his room biting my lip, trying to be a "good girl" as Master put it. My patience was wearing thin however. I didn't want to wait out here to find out if he'd be okay. I just wanted to see him.

Before I had totally lost it, Master walked out of the room with the doctor. "You may go in." He said, holding the door open for me. "I'll be back in a while."

Nodding, I didn't wait and jumped up, zooming right in. Gajeel had his own room since he was in worse condition than the others, also we requested it. To my relief he was awake, but had the same unresponsive look he had earlier. I sighed taking a seat next to his bed. He was heavily bandaged.

"No." Is all he said.

"No what?" I looked at him confused.

He just patted the space next to him. Taking the hint, I got into his bed laying next to him. I did my best to be careful, since I didn't want to hurt him, but he pulled me roughly into his chest. He held onto me tightly, refusing to let go. His breathing was slow and deep, but his heart rate was rapid.

"I'm so glad you're safe." He said after a few minutes. His voice quiet, yet gruff.

"I'm the one who should be saying that to you! Gajeel I thought you were going to die!" Tears ran down my face as I looked up at him.

"Me? Never. I got someone I need to stay alive for." He smirked down at me.

I scoffed, laughing lightly afterwards. He wiped my tears away then gently pulled me back into his chest. His warm embrace was so soothing, it seemed to chase all my thoughts and fears away. I could lay like this forever.

"Nothing happened to you though, right?" He asked suddenly.

"Other than worrying about you, no." I started lightly tracing patterns on his chest and arms.

"Good. If I lost you, I don't know what I'd do." He stroked my head, running his fingers through my hair.

"Again, I should be the one saying that to you. You almost died because of me and I want to say this'll be the last time, but it won't be. Gajeel I-" He cut me off, sitting up and making me look him in the eyes.

"(Y/n), I knew from the moment I met you, I wanted you. I knew from the first mission we went on together that I'd do anything for you. I love you more than anything, so you bet your ass I'd die for you." His eyes peered into mine, as if he could see into me.

I looked back into his eyes, mesmerized by him. Not knowing what to say to that, I let my body do the talking for me. Slowly I inched foward, then he closed the gap between us. Our lips gently pressed against each other, quickly becoming more heated and passionate. We pulled apart only for air, before becoming lost in each other's eyes again.

Every perfect moment does not last forever though, there was a light knock at the door. Lily and Bastet entered looking at Gajeel concerned. "Should you be up?" Lily raised his brow.

"I'm fine. You can leave now." Gajeel growled.

"Why would we leave?" Bastet asked baffled.

"I was hopin' for some time alone with my lady." Gajeel shrugged.

"Seriously? We're in a hospital." Bastet crossed her arms.

"That makes no difference to me." Gajeel smirked.
