~Cassie~

Brother? I have a brother?

"I-I don't have a brother."

"Yes, you do. It's me."

"Then how come I've never seen-"

Memories flashed through my head.

A woman with dark hair and soft eyes in pajamas, and a man with dark hair and happy, sea green eyes in a nursery, a small boy no older than five at their side.

They were looking in a crib, at a baby. A small little girl, a few months old, with tufts of dark raven hair on her head, and sea green eyes, like the father, giggling and smiling like crazy, hugging her small, chubby foot to her chest.

Me.

It's me, I realized. I'm the baby girl, and Percy's the boy. And those must be my parents.

My parents.

I was adopted when I was young, my adoptive mother told me my parents died in a car accident and I was given to my father's family. They were the ones who gave me up for adoption.

But I have a brother.

And maybe my parents are still alive.

As all of this was running through my head, I hadn't noticed that I spaced out and had fallen to the ground, holding my head.

I looked around at all the scared faces.

But I only focused on one.

Percy.

"I-I remember. I remember you, and-and mom and dad. But I was only a baby. Are they still alive? But, even if they are alive, would they want me? I mean they had me up, Percy, for adoption."

I put my head in my hands. I felt arms around me. Looking up, I saw Percy's caring eyes staring down at me.

"Mom and dad are alive. And I know for a fact that they do want you. And that it was the hardest thing they've ever done, giving you away like that."

"Then why would they do it?" I asked.

He sighed, running his hand through his hair.

"Cassie, have you heard of the Greek Gods and Goddesses?"

"Um, you mean Zeus, Hera, and all them?"

"Yeah. Well, they're, kinda... real." He waited for my reaction.

Something inside of me clicked.

"I believe you."

"You do?" The entire group looked surprised.

"Okay, um, so do you know about demigods? The half-human-half-god offspring of a god and a mortal human?"

"So, you're telling me that everything about the gods that I've ever read is all real?"

"Yeah." They chorussed

"So, when Thalia and Jason said I was a 'demigod' earlier, one of our parents is a god?"

"Yep." Percy said.

"So, which one?" I asked.

Just then, a glowing green trident appeared above my head.

Everyone smiled.

"Poseidon."

Poseidon, God of the Sea is my father. That actually makes sense. I've always loved the sea. And being in the water always seemed to make me feel stronger somehow.

I smiled, "Come here big brother."

I know it's short. Go ahead and blame me. I'm okay with it. I'm not tired, and school already ended, so I don't have any excuses. I just thought this was the place to end this chapter. The next one will probably be longer. I haven't gotten there yet, so bear with me. :)

Thanks for everything! Love you guys!
