Chapter 13 | When Certain Paths Cross

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, it's not everyday you get to meet the king of hell in a bar. Do some people consider his presence as an honour or as a tragedy? Well, for Clarissa, it's no other than a tragedy. To see Crowley right in front of you with a shot glass of tequila in hand made her legs frozen into place. The fear crept up to the brunette like a shadow swiftly downing over a figure. "You!! What do you want? How did you find me?! I'll kill you right now, you bItCh."

He raised a brow in amusement. He was enjoying watching her getting all riled up. "Hi, Crowley here. King of Hell in case you have forgotten."

With a shaky breath, she stood up, clutching unto the steen counter for support. "You clearly want something. Stop beating around the bush and spit it out, goddamit!"

"Let me make this fast sweetheart. Come with me, I want a quick word with you."

She scoffed, digging her hands deeper into her pocket. "I'm not falling for your trap again Crowley, you sneaky ass. Go run along with your minions, now. Shoo! Shoo!"

"I have a sweet deal for you, pet."

"Nope, miss me with that shit. I'm out."

She stormed out of the bar, still not knowing which direction to take. She knew well the Winchesters wouldn't gladly welcome her with open arms anymore. Especially with Dean, there was much tension between the two. All she wanted was to run away from Crowley. With all these events playing fast, she took a turn to a remote area of the streets without knowing her way. She walked, then jogged. And then she ran. Running for her dear life, was what she was doing.

She gasped when Crowley appeared in front of her, with a smug smile on as usual. "Tut tut tut, darling. Haven't you missed me from all the years we've been apart?"

Clarissa pulled out a flask of holy water and splashed it at where he was supposed to be standing, but to only to see him appear right behind her, checking his nails as if he was taking his leisure time. Her breath ran cold. She felt the cold sweat trickling down her back and thought of the only thing she could do; she whipped out the demon-killing knife from the heel of her shoe and slashed the weapon at him multiple times. Her efforts went down the train, when she found out that her knife had turned into a stuffed bunny. Crowley and his impeccable tastes.

With a snap of Crowley's fingers, Clarissa limbs were tied with rope specially made by the king of Hell himself for 'exceptional uses'. She squirmed and squirmed only to feel the material chaffing her porcelain-like skin.

She fell to her knees. Fists clenched, tears flowing. She had never felt so much despair in such a long time. She couldn't even kill the damn smirking demon in front of her. Weak, was what she felt.

"CROWLEY YOU SON OF A BITCH!!"

He kneeled down to her level, cupping her cheek mockingly. "That's what I like about you, pet. You're just like your father, but I'll give you the honor of passing down the title of my favorite chew toy to you. He wouldn't even give up information about the demon tablet as I dug into his insides! Hilarious! Such a loyal prophet, he is."
