Chapter 15 | When Everything Falls Apart

WITH HER MOVEMENTS clean and precise, Clarissa skilfully beheaded the last vampire with a swish of the machete. There was a slight pause before the head fell down the floor, the body following afterwards, creating a 'plop' sound on the cool tiled floor. The walls and floor were spattered with blood, and she scrunched us her nose at the stench.

Just as expected, Crowley had his minions lined up outside the room Clarissa was kept in. He was smart enough to not let anyone interrupt his little torture session. Not that it was successful.

Being kept in the room for days made Clarissa release all the anger that was bottled inside, hence, the dead bodies piling up on the hallways. Deciding it would be more fun to taunt Crowley after all this, she didn't finish him off. He was still lying unconscious from the blow earlier.

She kicked down the steel door with ease and took a step out as she felt a exhilarating breeze rushed in. Letting out a sigh of relief, she closed her eyes.

Fresh air, finally.

Now fully outside, she looked around— taking in her surroundings. "The king of hell kept me in a factory, huh." She chuckled under her breath. She then sauntered forward, painting slightly from the fight. She wouldn't call it a 'fight', though. She eliminated them with ease. As expected from the Guardian of Land.

She glanced down her hands and let out a low whistle. Her hands were stained with blood of all kinds; vampires, wendigos, werewolves— you name it. Not that she minded, of course. The blood was like a garment of a proud hunter could ever wear. She snapped her fingers, and all the blood washed away from her body in an instant.

Letting out a sigh, she threw the machete to the side. I felt like such a weak mouse being tied to a chair, being tortured. But this power? I's different. I'm definitely not used to it yet, but the fact that I know I could wipe out any creature I want is the drug that tells me I want to kill all evil on this Earth. This power feels pure— comforting, even.

"Well, that was entertaining."

She quickly spun around and a smirk played on her lips. "Crowley. Thought you were catching up on your beauty sleep back there."

Crowley rolled his eyes. "Hilarious."

She slowly picked up the machete she threw, and positioned into a fighting stance. "I gotta say, being the Guardian of Land has its perks, actually."

He raised his eyebrows. "Like what?"

"First things first, nothing is stopping me from finish you off right here right now." She told him, sneering.

He crossed both arms over his chest and tapped two fingers on his chin thoughtfully. "Exactly. That is why I'm sending you to your next destination. Now."

"What are you, my uber driver?"

He scoffed. "Trust me, you won't be all chuckles and giggles after what I'm about to do."

Before the blonde could question him, Crowley snapped his fingers— and with that, Clarissa was gone with the dust.
