I REALISED OUR FIGHT was like a battle of emotions, wherein two people refuse to admit how they truly feel. Because some people, well, they fear rejection and judgement. There's a little voice in you, longing to be free, but is kept away and buried by terror. Terror keeps the voice hidden at the back of your head, causing you to feel restrained from being speaking out.
After they had pulled away from the hug, Dean pecked Clarissa on the cheek and told her we could take baby steps in their relationship. Only if she wanted one, of course. She's in awe that he respects her, but well, truth be told, all she wanted to do was haul him into an embrace, never letting him go.
She agreed enthusiastically with a nod and beamed ear to ear. The weight on her chest felt lifted and she couldn't feel any more happier.
"Sam told me that you'd leave." Dean says sadly, and he hastily clasps her hands, "please don't. Sam and I want you to stay with us. And I don't know what I'd do without you."
Do I want to stay with them again? After knowing Dean was only worried for me, our misunderstanding felt like a petty fight and the guilt rises from the bottom of my stomach. Of course I want to make the relationship between Dean and I to work, I really do. But if they want me to stay then...
"Okay." She breath out.
His face lights up and his eyes twinkle in excitement like a little boy as a giggle escapes her lips. He looks much happier now as she is.
Dean explained to her along the way to the library about what the third trial is—to cure a demon. He told her all about Metatron, the scribe of God, Who apparently, was hiding out in a shady motel, avoiding humanity. It infuriated him because a war was going on between the angels and demons while all what he did was laze around and read books.
Metatron sounded like bad news to her.
Explaining to Clarissa that it was Metatron who summoned Kevin, that's why he disappeared at the boathouse when Crowley paid a visit. She also told him about the prank she pulled on Crowley, and he laughed uncontrollably.
Not to mention, their pinkies were laced together as they walked to the library.
In his other hand, was a thick book..Curious, she asked him what it was and he said he'd explain it together with Sam.
As we walked down the stairs, Sam does a double take when he saw their conjoined hands hands. A smirk tugs up his mouth, "woah, did I miss anything?"
"Not much." Dean smirks back and Clarissa's heart warms at the sight. He looks better now, and there's much color to his face, not like an hour ago when his face was pale as an albino.
"I'm glad you're back on the team, Rissa." Sam smiles at her, and she chuckles nervously, "well, thanks for having me, I guess."
"Sure! Now let's get to work. What do you got, Dean?"
"You see, the Men of Letters kept files on every demonic possession for the last 300 years. We got Borden, Lizzy, all the way to Crane, Ichabod."
"Wow," Clarissa whistle, "Lizzy Borden, huh."
Dean hands the book over to Sam, and as he takes it in his hands, he yanks his fingers away like the book sizzling hot and rubs his face, groaning.
