Okay, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!
Without A Trace has come to an end with 46 chapters.
I'm really glad I finished this.
So, how was it? :))
Okay, so for those who did not understand the ending, here's the explanation—
At the very start of the chapter, Clarissa is composing a song. Well, she had no freaking clue what to write, because she had 'song writer's block'. She wanted to compose a song with a 'deep, cutting edge with an eerie sombre, yet a touching, deeper meaning that breaks the ice.' And after meeting Dean, she knew who she wanted to dedicated the sing to, and the lyrics came out flowing. She keeps the song a secret from the curious Dean, but finally sings the piece to her at the very end. I'm very sure y'all know the iconic masterpiece—Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas.
The book description goes perfectly with my story plot and I'm really loving it.
I never thought I would go up to 46 chapters, honestly. I didn't think it was gonna be that long.
Here are some facts about the making of Without A Trace
1. I had EVER SO CARELESSLY chose to write about season 8. It was on impulse. Because I'm shipping my own original character with Dean, You'd normally think I'd choose other seasons like Season 3 when Dean is in Hell, or Season 10, when Dean becomes a demon. Season 8 was Sam's screen time, and I chose this season only because he looked a lot like a sad puppy throughout the episodes. Yeah, that's it.
2. I go with the flow as I write. I don't have a whole big plot laid out before I start writing, because most for the time, it doesn't work out and there would be huge changes.
3. I shipped Clarissa and Castiel together in around chapter 38-39 :0
I did not plan to go it that way, it just did. But do you like the ship though? 😉
4. I was going for a sad ending. My original plan was to let Clarissa die at the very last chapter.
5. It's weird, but my writing gets better as I write a chapter.
6. When I decided to write a supernatural fanfic, I DID NOT PLAN for Clarissa to become the Guardian of Land.
