It had been a year since Kong's wedding to Hana. The ceremony took place only a month after he had proposed, which gave Hana enough time to invite as many people as she wanted. This included her family, a few friends, and a few Kaiju from Monster Island. It was great to see Godzilla again, and even more amazing for Hana to finally meet Mothra. There was only one problem, and that was Hana's job in New York. In the past few years, she had gone from amateur journalist to a full-on explorer. She worked for the Museum of Natural History, and was in charge of discovering artifacts while exploring ruins and exotic places. But while being queen of Skull Island was great, she still needed to keep her job, and everyone she knew still lived in New York. So she made a deal; for one month she would stay on Skull Island with Kong, and then she would stay in New York the next. This was supplemented by occasional trips to Skull Island with other explorers to find artifacts. There were many legends on Skull Island, and many things that would be valuable to the museum. So Kong allowed occasional expeditions to the island, as long as Hana lead them. Such was the case with today. Kong was expecting a team to arrive shortly, and was standing on the shore of Skull Island to meet them when they did. Finally, he saw a boat appear on the horizon. He recognized the boat, as it had come to the island before. It eventually arrived and docked on the shore, and several explorers stepped off the boat. All of them were clad in black armour with gear and weapons on their belts. They needed armour and weapons due to the dangerous nature of the island. The Skull Crawlers were gone, but many dangerous creatures still roamed the jungle. Kong had given them full permission to defend themselves from whatever attacked them. As the other explorers began to bring gear off the boat, Hana stepped off the boat and approached Kong.
"It's good to see you again." She said with a smile.
"You know how much I miss you when you're gone." Kong responded. He brought Hana into a hug, but she began to push him away.
"Kong, we talked about this. I'm here for work, not for you." She giggled.
"C'mon, just one kiss?" Kong asked, raising an eyebrow. Hana was clearly serious, but she was finding it hard to resist her husbands charms.
"Not in front of the others." She whispered. "Though... maybe I can sneak out of camp later tonight. But only if you help us find something cool on our expedition."
"Of course." Kong said. He let go of Hana as he continued to speak. "I know the perfect place to look."
"Lead the way." Hana said, pulling her baklava over her face.
