Kong, Varan, and Gorosaurus rushed through the streets as they searched for the place the lighting struck earlier. Soon enough, they found themselves faced with something else. A massive pack of Skull Crawlers was approaching them. There must have been just over 200.
"Dammit! We're too late." Kong growled.
The three got into a battle stance, but the Crawlers did not rush towards them. They simply stood in a group and hissed at the three. Thats when they saw him; Ramarak stepped through the crowd of Crawlers, arms folded behind his back. A hood covered his head, only showing his long dark grey hair and sinister grin.
"King Kong." He hissed. "The ruler of Skull Island. It is truly an honour to meet you."
"Ramarak." Kong hissed back. "I've heard a lot about you. I hope you realize this won't end well for you if you continue your plans."
"Oh, I'd doubt that." Ramarak chuckled. "I've been waiting for this, Kong. Finally, I will take my place as the rightful king of Skull Island!"
"What right do you have to the throne?!" Gorosaurus interrupted, aiming his spear at Ramarak. Despite his confidence, this statement turned Ramarak's grin into a gnarled scowl. He pulled off his hood, showing his furious burning yellow eyes.
"What right, you ask?" He snapped. "I'm sure the elders told you about me. I'm sure they told you that the king cursed me to spend eternity in a stone prison. But... I doubt they told you something else." He seemed especially furious now. He stared daggers at Kong while his fists shook in rage. "Did they tell you that the king was my own father?!"
Kong's eyes widened. He had no idea that Ramarak was a prince. This meant that the two of them were part of the same lineage. He and Ramarak was Kong's ancestor.
"They erased me from their history when I tried to take what was mine." Ramarak began. "My father told me I wasn't fit to be king. My alchemy could have benefitted Skull Island and it's people for generations! We could have become gods! But no. Instead, they forgot me. But that doesn't matter now." His scowl once again morphed into a grin as he chuckled maniacally. "I have something of yours, Kong."
Kong knew exactly what Ramarak meant. As he predicted, Hana walked out of the Crawler horde and revealed herself.
"She seems much happier with me than with you, so I think I'll just keep her." Ramarak chuckled sinisterly.
Kong gasped and ran toward her, placing his hands on her shoulders.
"Hana! Are you alright?" He asked. She didn't answer. Kong could see what Ramarak had done.  She was completely brainwashed.
"Get your hands off of my queen!" Ramarak shouted, grabbing Kong by the throat and throwing him to the ground. This triggered the Skull Crawlers to attack. They ran right past Kong as he stood up. He guessed Ramarak had instructed them to leave him alone, as Ramarak wanted to fight him himself. Instead, they ran right to Varan and Gorosaurus, who immediately began fighting back. Kong wasn't worried about them. He stood face to face with Ramarak as the two stared each other down. Before they could begin their fight, Ramarak pulled a small vial out from behind his back. It was filled with the same substance that he used to create the Crawlers.
"Let's see who's truly the rightful king!" He said before he downed the vial in one gulp. He began to transform almost immediately after. His eyes turned a deep red as his fingers grew into long claws. His teeth grew sharper, and multiple thin black spikes erupted from his spine as he cackled violently. Finally, he began to grown taller. He was at least 6 feet tall before, but now he towered over Kong at approximately 7 and a half feet. Now the true battle could begin. Kong released a battlecry as he ran at Ramarak. He used his elemental powers to control the wind, allowing him to jump into the air. He landed behind Ramarak and kicked him in the back, avoiding the spikes. He could tell he made an impact, as Ramarak shouted in pain. He swung back and struck Kong in the side with his massive clawed hand, sending him into a building on the side of the street. Kong took the opportunity to use his earth powers, throwing chunks of concrete and rock at Ramarak. One struck him in the head, drawing blood as he ran towards Kong. He jabbed down at Kong, who rolled out of the way in time, leading Ramarak to plunge his claws into ground. His claws punctured a water pipe underneath the ground, shooting a jet of water into his face. Kong thought quickly and began to control the water, sending more and more at Ramarak. He was stuck into the concrete and couldn't move as he was hit by the torrent. Finally, Kong froze the water, incasing Ramarak's forearm in ice. Once it was completely frostbitten, Kong punched him with all his strength, sending Ramarak flying down the street. However, the ice around his arm held it in place, and it snapped off at his elbow. When Ramarak his the ground, he landed on his back, making may of his spikes snap off. The pain of losing his limb and his spikes made him roar out in pain as he held his bleeding arm. Kong stood over him in confidence.
"Give up?" He asked. Ramarak glared at him.
"Never!" He practically screamed. He kicked Kong in the leg, making him trip and fall face first onto the concrete, breaking his nose. As he got up, Ramarak slashed Kong across the chest with his remaining hand. Finally, he slashed Kong again, this time in the face, directly over his eye. Kong yelled out and placed a hand over his bloody eye. His vision blured as the pain clouded his vision. As Kong fell to the ground, he crashed into a nearby car, denting it deeply. Ramarak grinned once again as he walked towards the injured Kong.
"Do you really think you had a chance?" He asked. "You're a bigger fool than I had thought, Kong. A mere king can not stand against a god."
Kong looked down at the car, and saw that it was dripping. His impact had damaged the fuel tank, making it drip on the ground. It was beginning to pool at Ramarak's feet as he prepared to finish Kong off. Kong once again thought quickly. He remembered the lightning caused by Ramarak's alchemy. It still crackled in the sky. All he needed was one spark. Finally, he got what he wanted at the very last second. Lightning stuck again, and Kong used the heat and plasma in the sky to send a bolt of fire down at Ramarak and the gasoline he was standing in. It lit up immediately, and Ramarak cried out as he burned alive. He dropped to his knees as the fire burned his skin. Finally, his cries stopped as his throat gave out, and he fell to the ground as the fire continued to burn. Kong breathed a heavy sigh. Finally, Ramarak was dead for good. All around him, the Skull Crawlers dropped the ground and began to rot, leaving only skeletons. Varan and Gorosaus sighed in relief before running to help Kong up.
"Are you okay?" Varan asked.
"I'm fine." Kong said.
"Kong, your eye!" Gorosaurus said.
Kong remembered that his left eye had been damaged in the battle. He couldn't see anything out of it now except for darkness.
"Guess I'm going to need an eyepatch." He muttered. Finally, he gasped as he remembered Hana. He looked over to where she was standing earlier, seeing that she had fallen to the ground. He rushed over to her and lifted her in his arms. She was unconscious, but alive. And most importantly, Kong could tell she wasn't brainwashed. Eventually, she woke up. She yawned and rubbed her eyes.
"Geez, what a weird dream..." She muttered. She looked up in surprise as she saw Kong's face. "Oh... hey, Kong. Um... why are we in the middle of the street surrounded by corpses? And what happened to your eye?"
Kong smiled and kissed Hana deeply before holding her tightly. "I'll tell you about it later." He said.
