Two days later, Hana had left back for New York along with her crew. The coffin along with the pictures of cave drawings and tunnels were extremely valuable to the museum. Hana presented her findings to her boss along with the rest of her team.
"Well done, Hana." Her boss commended. "We'll bring the coffin in immediately, and I'll have some of our staff research the cave drawings. I think this new Skull Island exhibit will go extremely well, thanks to you and Kong."
"Well, I suppose I should thank you for taking me to the island in the first place, 'captain'." Hana smirked. Her boss just happened to be the captain of the boat that took Hana to Skull Island many years ago. After the first expedition went so well, he bought out the museum and immediately hired Hana. In the present, the two eyed the stone coffin that now sat in the middle of the room.
"It's a shame we don't know what's in it." Hana shrugged.
"Even the X-rays I ordered turned up with nothing." Her boss agreed. "It's truly a mystery."
"That might add a bit of intrigue to the exhibit." Hana suggested. "Anyway, I should go start working on all the arrangements."
Her boss nodded and she left the room. As soon as the doors closed, she realized she was being followed. She glanced around behind her, seeing her co-worker Jack.
"Hey, Hana." Jack grinned.
Hana rolled her eyes. "You know, Jack, there are easier ways to get my attention than being creepy." She said. "What do you want now?"
"I was just thinking," Jack said with a shrug, "we should head out for drinks tonight. You know, to celebrate your big find."
Hana again rolled her eyes. Jack had been hitting on her ever since she started working at the museum. Even the fact that she was married, let alone to a king, didn't sway him.
"Thanks, but no thanks, Jack." Hana said, trying to mask her hatred for him. "I already told you, I don't drink."
"C'mon, just one drink tonight. How much harm could that be?" Jack continued. He followed Hana a little too closely as they walked further down the halls. Hana raised an eyebrow.
"Also, I've said probably a million times before, I'm married." She said, waving her hand with her wedding ring. "In fact, you've probably forgotten that my marriage is the reason we got that coffin in the first place."
Jack sneered. He didn't like Kong that much, or any Kaiju for that matter. He was one of the few anti-Kaiju people still living in New York. It was an understandable prejudice, but one that annoyed many people, including Hana.
"Then I guess I should be thanking that big monkey husband of yours." Jack muttered. Hana turned around to face him, offended and angered by his statement.
"He's not a monkey." She asserted. "In fact, you're more of an ape than he his."
She turned back around and continued to walk back to her office. Jack wasn't giving up though, and caught up to her, much to her dismay.
"C'mon, you're really gonna let some guy on an island a million miles away keep you from having a little fun?" He asked.
"Yes, because we're married and I love him." Hana said.
"He's not even here! It's not like he's gonna find out." Jack chuckled. At this point, Hana had to stop walking again. She furrowed her brow and looked Jack straight in the eye.
"You're gonna be on the next expedition, right?" She asked.
"Uh... yeah, I think." Jack said. Hana smirked.
"Good." She said. "Because if you say another word to me for the rest of the day, I'm gonna get Kong to kick your ass for me."
With that, she slammed the door to her office, which Jack hadn't realized they had reached. Jack could hear it locking behind her. At this point, Jack had to give up. He rolled his eyes and scoffed, placing his hands firmly in his pockets.
"Stupid Kong." He muttered as he walked back to his own office.
