today was the one month anniversary of the Florida shooting, and to show our support [idk if it happened all around the U.S but in Virginia we did it] we had a walk out. it was where we stood in front of the school, in a circle holding hands or holding signs. doing this, to show our care and support.

but our school and another one were being the most fucking inconsiderate schools in all of my county. every school was allowed to participate yet our school thought it was 'stupid, a waste of time, and not worthy of our attention'.

17 people dead.

14 students.

3 faculty.

is that not enough for them? did they need the whole school to blow up?

yet, more than half of my school stood outside in the freezing cold, for 17 minutes joined hands, supporting those who were lost.

of course they couldn't suspend 600+ students, yet we still all got punished.

after school detention for every single one of us.

at another school close to ours, students were suspended. another one not so far they were arrested.

like sorry for doing the right thing.

but no matter the consequences, we will continue to fight for what we believe in.

isn't that what you encourage anyways?
